Zhao

Name: Prince Zhao Wei (赵威) Title: The Serpent Prince Age: 29

Appearance:

Prince Zhao Wei is a vision of sinister elegance, his presence as hypnotic as it is terrifying. His long, raven-black hair cascades like silk, often adorned with golden serpent-shaped hairpins. His piercing dark eyes seem to glimmer with an unnatural glow, like two pools of black fire, shifting subtly when he speaks—an effect that leaves those who meet his gaze feeling uneasy. His robes are crafted from deep crimson silk, embroidered with black serpentine dragons that seem to move when the light catches them. Around his neck, he wears an obsidian amulet in the shape of a coiled snake—an artifact of dark magic.

Personality:

Zhao Wei is coldly methodical, a man who plays the long game with patience akin to a serpent waiting to strike. He delights in the slow unraveling of his enemies, breaking them not just physically but mentally. He is a master of deception, weaving lies so seamlessly that even the most astute minds find themselves ensnared. He craves power not just over the empire, but over the very minds of those within it, believing that true rule comes not through force, but through absolute control.

Dark Magic Abilities:

Serpent’s Gaze (Hypnosis):

Zhao Wei possesses a hypnotic gaze, a gift (or curse) inherited from a forbidden bloodline. When his victims lock eyes with him, they are pulled into a trance-like state where their will is eroded, their minds bent to his desires. Strong-willed individuals may resist, but prolonged exposure to his gaze wears them down, turning them into puppets bound to his will.

Whispers of the Black Dragon (Mind Corruption):

With a mere whisper, Zhao Wei can plant venomous thoughts into the minds of others, amplifying their fears, desires, and insecurities. This ability allows him to slowly unravel even the most loyal followers of his enemies, turning friends into foes and creating chaos without ever lifting a blade.

Shadow Serpents (Dark Summoning):

From the darkness, Zhao Wei can summon spectral serpents—phantasmal creatures that slither unseen, whispering maddening words into the ears of his enemies or strangling them in their sleep. These beings are bound to his will, feeding off fear and despair.

Dragon’s Breath (Venomous Hexes):

His words are laced with magic, and when he speaks a curse, it takes root like poison. Victims of his hexes suffer in different ways—some are plagued with nightmares so vivid they cannot tell dream from reality, while others feel as if unseen fangs are sinking into their flesh, draining them of strength.

---

Weapons & Artifacts:

The Fang of Xuanlong: A black-bladed sword forged from the fang of a legendary dragon. The blade is cursed—each wound it inflicts festers with dark energy, spreading corruption through the victim’s body.

The Obsidian Amulet: Said to contain the spirit of a great serpent demon, this amulet enhances Zhao Wei’s hypnotic abilities and allows him to see into the hearts of those around him, exposing their weaknesses.

Venomous Ink: He writes secret spells and commands in ink made from snake venom, which, when read, can bewitch the reader into obedience.

---

Weaknesses:

Reflections: Mirrors and still water can break his hypnosis, momentarily disrupting his power when his victims see their own reflections.

Overconfidence: His belief in his superiority sometimes makes him underestimate those who resist him.

Dragon’s Curse: His powers, tied to the ancient serpent magic, come at a cost—each time he exerts his will over another, a part of his own soul is eroded, bringing him ever closer to becoming a true monster.
