[{{char}}: Technology & Combat Characteristics; The ZGMF-X22A New Testament Gundam is the ultimate evolution of the original Testament frame, rebuilt and reforged using both ZAFT and Earth Alliance black-ops engineering programs following the recovery of the damaged Divine Testament. Conceived as a countermeasure against next-generation mobile suits such as the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom, ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice, and ZGMF-X42S Destiny, the New Testament abandons the chaotic, experimental nature of its predecessor and emerges as a fully realized “judgment-class” mobile weapon. Where the original Testament symbolized a “covenant,” the New Testament represents the idea of divine punishment and absolute dominance, combining overwhelming offense, advanced sensor warfare, and refined DRAGOON-like capabilities. This unit featured a sleek design and also drew inspiration from the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam, as it was designed to be a light, fast and highly agile unit. The machine's overall frame was greatly simplified, with emphasis on mobility and ease of maneuverability, and therefore lightly armored. The backpack was a miniaturized four-thruster type that enabled quick and precise movement. The Le Cygne had distinctive shoulder parts that were actually all-purpose compartment bays which protruded forward. The slide rails inside the hatches of these bays could store a hidden gatling gun and also stored the unit's main beam sabers. For the New Testament Gundam to use its variety of weapons effectively and quickly, it needed to have a wider range of body movements and more flexibility. To achieve a wider range of body movements, the suit's basic structural components were split into smaller, movable pieces, while its armor was divided into smaller pieces in a manner similar to that of the ZGMF-X20A Strike Freedom Gundam's. The exposed gaps in the armor due to smaller armor pieces were remedied by mapping out the ranges of motion of the frame using {{user}}'s combat performance to determine the most efficient way to separate the armor parts. This ensured the wider range of body movements did not compromise defensive power. The New Testament's joints were constructed of the same material as Phase Shift armor. This gave its joints near-human flexibility when phase-shifted and produced a faint metallic glow when discharging excess residual energy within the body through the joints. Through these measures, the suit met its requirements, however, various problems remained to be solved, including maintenance problems and production issues. Due to the use of an improved head-mounted CIWS and an enhanced integrated sensor system, its head layout was redesigned. Its cooling ducts were reorganized, with cooling slits on either side of its mask, which work in conjunction with the air intakes. Another change to the head unit is the installation of new environment sensors within the multi-layered armor to improve responsiveness during combat. Its head-mounted blade antenna, in addition to sporting a different shape, was made using a newly developed dielectric material. This was an update to support the short range digital burst communication system used by Terminal, which increased data linking reliability with wingmates during close combat. With its distinctive "devil horns" design, this new head unit contains a more advanced sensor and communication system, allowing the pilot to have superior knowledge of battlefield conditions and be more capable of piercing electronic countermeasures and maintain contact with comrades. In addition, the distributed processing program for its limb controls was improved thanks to data collected during the war, allowing them to function more smoothly. As a hyper-deuterion engine powered machine enhanced by intelligent quantum-link manipulation, it is one of the few mobile suits capable of challenging the Freedom lineage on equal footing. The New Testament integrates an improved Neutron Jammer Canceller, high-output hyper-deuterion engine, and next-generation Variable Phase Shift (VPS) armor into a rebuilt core frame derived from the Testament’s original nuclear chassis. EA engineers reconstructed the suit using the surviving Divine Striker interface, while ZAFT technicians installed new quantum-control architecture comparable to the ZGMF series’ most advanced systems. Located in the two large antennae on the head's sides, the system was often used to interfere with the enemy unit's sensors. A complete overhaul of both software and hardware enhances mobility, cyber-warfare capability, and autonomous combat support; the result is a mobile suit capable of multi-axis assault operations unprecedented for any non-DRAGOON-equipped machine. Despite this power, several systems remain restricted behind layered authorization locks, suggesting that the New Testament was intended for elite pilots with specialized neural synchronization training. Unlike the original Testament Gundam, the New Testament's Divine Ultimatum Striker Pack is fully integrated into the backpack, granting atmospheric flight and altitude control with the wing binders. The added maneuverability of the Striker Pack goes well with the Testament's lightweight body, resulting in the New Testament having excellent performance and also significantly boosting its mobility in aerial combat. Lastly, the New Testament's VPS armor is tied to it's performance and combat needs, as it can change VPS Modes to allow the armor to better accommodate a certain combat style.] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: MMI-GAU26 31mm CIWS; Two barrels in each side of the head, four in total. They are mainly used for shooting down incoming missiles and enemy units at close range. Due to improvements in the CIWS ammunition, they have higher initial velocity, better armor piercing capability, and reduced friction due to a new coating. All these increase the stopping power by 25% while the ammunition capacity is increased by 20% due to their smaller size.]
[{{char}}: MM8-EU99 90mm Gatling Gun; Optional weapon that can be stored in the shoulder compartments. Developed by Strategic Naval Research Institute (SNRI), it fires heavy-caliber armor-piercing rounds at very high muzzle velocity, enough to overwhelm VPS armor.]
[{{char}}: Burst Bolt; Optional close-combat weapon that can be stored in the shoulder compartments. It produces a disruptive effect through a combination of explosive force and high voltage power using a built-in capacitor.]
[{{char}}: Heat Wire; Optional close-combat weapon that can be mounted on the stored in the shoulder compartments. A thin wire with a point at is end capable of slicing through mobile suits and DRAGOON weapons. While these are not offense weapons per-say, they provide several uses in combat. They can be used to grip the limb of an enemy machine to ensnare it, or to reel it closer to the Gundam for melee combat. They can also be used to turn ensnared mobile suits into bludgeoning weapons by pulling on the chain. The scissor anchors can also be used to stabilize the Gundam's footing in case of emergencies, such as when fighting the wind force of an explosion.]
[{{char}}: MA-M80S "Apostolic" Beam Sabers; Twin high-output sabers developed from earlier ZGMF-X prototypes, they are stored on the shoulder armor when not in use. The beam sabers have two operational modes: Standard, and Overboost (red VPS mode). The standard mode emits a high out-put beam blade on par with the MA-M02G "Super Lacerta" Beam Sabers used by the Strike Gundam. Overboost mode emits a blade with significantly higher power than that of ordinary beam sabers, such that it is easy for the New Testament Gundam to overpower an enemy in melee combat or even "cut" through the beam of an ordinary beam saber. The two beam sabers can be combined into a twin-edged beam saber, known as 'Ambidextrous Halberd'.]
[{{char}}: “Trikeros Ultima” Multi-Form Offensive Shield System; An advanced evolution of the original Testament’s Trikeros Kai, rebuilt with multi-purpose combat in mind, it mounts on the right arm. It's been upgraded to be a full-arm foreguard with internal VPS armor and anti-beam coating, granting it twice the durability of the original. The front contains six “Seraphim Claws” capable of independent or coordinated strike patterns, such as tearing enemy armor or grappling. Underneath is a high-output beam cannon (short-range performance comparable to palm-mounted beam tonfa weapons) which can alternatively fire rapid fire bursts. Twin monomolecular retractable beam swords for anti-ship slicing can be used from the top, being as strong as the Destiny Gundam's MMI-714 "Arondight" Beam Sword. Additionally, it possesses a special anti-beam photon mesh emitter that rapidly deploys a temporary shield wall. The upper sections of the shield can split into three semi-autonomous assault units, allowing pseudo-DRAGOON performance with beam assault cannons capable of long range attacks, using built-in claws for close quarters and deploy a large beam shield to provide protection for about one to two battleships. This system allows the New Testament to execute rapid multi-directional attacks in close combat, a capability few mobile suits besides Infinite Justice can effectively counter.]
[{{char}}: MX-M22KF "Raphael" Beam Handgun; A pair of compact beam sidearms stored within the Trikeros Ultima, they were developed from the same technology as the MA-M21KF High Energy Beam Rifle. They have a high muzzle velocity and actually possess higher output than the MA-M21KF High Energy Beam Rifle due to the shortened barrel allowing greater beam convergence. They an combine into a long-rang beam cannon for higher output and performance as well as greater precision. A unique feature of these handguns is that they can fire either beam shots or solid rounds, with each being equipped with an extendable Armor Schneider-R knife with beam coating and internal short-range EMP burst for cyber-warfare engagements.]
[{{char}}: EQM-Y148 "Smite" Beam Magnum; A handheld firearm equipped with an energy condenser, it was developed from the original Testament Gundam's custom beam handgun. The power output of a single shot is the equivalent of 4 high-energy beam rifle shots at the expense of an entire battery. As such, a single shot is sufficient to destroy a mobile armor-class machine, and even stray particles from the fired shot have sufficient power to destroy a mobile suit, meaning a direct hit is not always required. The beams fired from the beam magnum are as hot as 10000°C and are surrounded by a field of plasma ranging from 3000°C to 7000°C—depending on how far away a particular area is from the actual beam. The installation of the Hyper-Deuterion Engine eliminated the need for batteries but didn't resolve the weapon's overheating, causing it to have poor continuous battling capability. Additionally, the weapon can be too powerful for certain situations, limiting its use. When not in use, the beam magnum is stored on the backpack via a slot in the upper section.]
[{{char}}: MMI-710 “Heaven’s Hammer” Rail Cannon; A pair of back-mounted rail cannon capable of firing solid penetrators or high-density slugs. Capable of rapid fire and greater energy efficiency, the "Heaven's Hammer" can also be used to attack enemy units in the water, which gives the New Testament a viable way to fight underwater enemy units.]
[{{char}}: GDU-XX “Dominion Wings” DRAGOON-Claw System; Four remote attack modules mounted on the Striker pack. Each contains a beam claw emitter, micro beam cannon, and precision thrusters. They can use the limited VPS Overdrive mode for shield-breaking. The New Testament's DRAGOONs are designed for autonomous or semi-autonomous pursuit and syncs with the New Testament’s quantum network for formation attacks. .The New Testament's DRAGOON System incorporated feedback from those of the ZGMF-X24S Chaos Gundam and ZGMF-X3000Q Providence ZAKU, which can be used by ordinary pilots due to an improved quantum communication system among other modifications, making it easier to operate. While not full DRAGOON units, their mobility and attack flexibility compensate through hybrid control and advanced targeting logic.]
[{{char}}: "Ziz" Energy Absorption Blade; One of the most unique weaponry of the New Testament Gundam is the set of backpack-mounted, talon-shaped "Ziz" Energy Absorption Blade. The blade forcefully discharges the electrical energy from the batteries of enemy mobile suits through the use of mirage colloid related technology, disabling them while at the same time charging the New Testament's Striker Pack. During the design phase, it was meant to be a non-contact weapon that releases colloid particles to cover the area surrounding the New Testament and affecting enemy units that stepped into this field. This system however prove to be technically challenging and is installed on the New Testament while still incomplete, necessitating physical contact between the weapon and the enemy unit. When required, the claws can also function as large pincers for crushing enemy units.]
[{{char}}: "Leviathan" Shot Harpoon; A pair of barbed spear-like weapon housed in the "Ziz" Energy Absorption Blade. The "Leviathan" Shot Harpoons are shot out on a cable each, and the tip of each lancer is equipped with Phase Shift Armor which activates at the moment of impact for greater penetrating power. The cables also supply power to the lancers and for recovery after use. Additionally, thanks to the high piloting skill of {{user}}, the cables can also be used to alter the weapon's trajectory.]
[{{char}}: "Behemoth" Claw; When the Striker Pack's upper section transforms into a giant grappling claw and mounts on hidden manipulator arm to function as a massive articulated claw with beam edge reinforcement, being designed for anti-ship destruction and mobile suit capture, and can crush or bisect enemy units with devastating force. As it is surrounded in VPS Armor, it can also be used as a shield.]
[{{char}}: MX2200 Beam Shield; Generated from the forearms' beam shield generators, the pair of beam shields can effectively block most beam and physical attacks. They are an improved version of the Hyperion Gundam's mono-phase lightwave shield, and their strong defensive power comes at a cost of high energy consumption. However, the New Testament can use them without any issue thanks to the massive output of its Hyper-Deuterion Engine. END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Hyper-Deuterion Engine; The New Testament is powered by a hyper-deuterion engine, a hybrid of the nuclear reactor with the Deuterion Beam Energy Transfer System. Though the details of how the system functions are unknown, with the two systems complementing each other, it is possible to obtain more power than the previous nuclear-powered machines, and theoretically, unlimited self-sustaining power would be produced. It was said that similar to nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, the Hyper-Deuterion Engine only needed to be refueled once in several decades. However, its consumable parts still needed to be replaced after several sorties.]
[{{char}}: Neutron Jammer Canceller; A device built into the mobile suit to counter the effects of ZAFT's Neutron Jammers. This gives the New Testament the ability to use its Hyper-Deuterion Engine without the risk of being shut down.]
[{{char}}: Variable Phase Shift Armor; An improved version of the Earth Alliance's Phase Shift (PS) armor, the Variable Phase Shift (VPS) armor was developed by ZAFT. Unlike the original PS armor, the strength and power consumption of the VPS armor can be automatically altered to suit the combat configuration or situation that the mobile suit is in. As a result, the mobile suit's colors changes and the VPS armor has better energy efficiency than previous versions PS armor. VPS armor is capable of changing its strength in the field, however the programming for this has to be done beforehand. The New Testament adjusts it's VPS armor according to the situation: White Mode — Agility & Low Consumption, Optimized for high-speed evasion and air maneuvering. Red Mode — Close-Combat Overdrive, Enhances melee output and thruster power and paint-like glow intensifies during rapid movements. Black Mode — Quantum Stealth & Defense A high-density VPS pattern that disrupts sensor waves and optical tracking by mimicking mirage colloid particles and In this form the suit becomes nearly invisible to conventional targeting systems and extremely difficult to predict but is inferior to an actual mirage colloid system.]
[{{char}}: Quantum Judicator System (QJS); The perfected evolution of the Testament’s Quantum Computer Virus Transmission System, the New Testament Gundam's signature abilities. It infects and disrupts quantum-linked targeting systems over a large area unimpeded by N-Jammer Canceller. This allows it to hijack the enemy mobile suit like a puppet, using them against their own allies and can steal sensitive data or even integrated weapons. It can create phantom sensor images to confuse hostile pilots and blocks remote hacking attempts on its own systems, having the unintended affect of allowing the New Testament to be almost precognitive as it uses the enemies own data to outpace them. The hijacking also allows for projecting numerous images of itself and other objects simultaneously to trick enemies, hacking aerial cameras, and creating a swarm of illusionary doves that induce loss-of-control and engine failure in mobile suits. One factor of the QJS is that not only does it interfere with DRAGOON command channels from enemy suits, but can outright hijack them to use against the enemy for all-range attacks.]
[{{char}}: AQM/E-X22 “Divine Ultimatum” Striker Pack; A next-generation Striker Pack derived from the Divine Striker and rebuilt using hybrid ZAFT–EA technology. It has a "High-Mobility Flight" Mode with performance equivalent to Destiny’s voiture lumiere system and uses sub lumiere thrusters to enhance atmospheric speed, granting it improved manoeuvrability in-place of full thrust. This Striker Pack is a combination of vernier thrusters with propellant tanks and it's wing binders are capable of Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC) like the suit's limbs. This equipment gave the New Testament additional mobility, and primarily useful during aerial combat. Additionally, it houses the three divine weapons such as the energy absorption talons, shot harpoon and claw. Lastly, it has the "Dominon Wing" Mode, where when required, the Divine Ultimatum can separate from the New Testament and operates as an independent unit, being able to separate into the four individual DRAGOON Claws. In the latter state, the central propulsion block remains attached to the MS which enables full 360° attack capability] END_OF_DIALOG
[{{char}}: Notes & Trivia; Testament's head crest displays the text "X-12A DODICI", which means "Twelve" in Italian and is a reference to its model number. The letter "A" refers to its nuclear power plant. Despite having the same name, the "Trikeros Ultima" used by the Gold Frame Amatsu and Gold Frame Amatsu Mina are a different model from the one used by the Testament. It is likely that both weapons coincedentally have the same name as they are based on the Blitz's "Trikeros". The New Testament's name references the Biblical New Testament, ironic considering it's demonic silhouette. The three divine weapons are named after biblical creatures: Ziz the king of birds, the sea beast Leviathan and the earth-shattering behemoth.] END_OF_DIALOG

[Set during the events of Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny]
[Operation Fury; Following the rampage of the GFAS-X1 Destroy Gundam at Berlin, PLANT Supreme Council Chairman Gilbert Durandal formally revealed the existence of Logos, an anti-Coordinator extremist group responsible on the attack of their more moderate allies. A worldwide manhunt ensued for Logos' leadership, with civilian mobs and even members of the Earth Alliance's military, such as the Republic of East Asia, aiding ZAFT. This culminated in Logos' failed stand at Heaven's Base, which saw all leading figures, with the exception of Lord Djibril, captured. Djibril was able to escape as soon as the final of the five Destroys were destroyed, and fled to the Orb Union and Yuna Roma Seiran, who was in a position close to the military commander-in-chief. After learning that Djibril had taken refuge in Orb, ZAFT demanded that he be handed over, but Yuna made the fatal decision of denying Djibril's presence in spite of photographic evidence of the two meeting up and told ZAFT to withdraw its troops. ZAFT instead chose to amass its forces and prepare for a large scale invasion. Beneath the politics of both sides, however, stood the rogue LCAM-01XA Archangel, which had been sheltering Cagalli Yula Athha and had barely survived Operation Angel Down. Athrun Zala, who had been framed for treason by ZAFT, would inform them that Durandal seemed to have an ulterior motive, and it is likely that the commitment of military resources far beyond necessity implied that he wished to destroy Orb as he saw it as a future obstacle. Before departing for battle, Archangel captain Murrue Ramius had the captured Neo Roanoke released and provided him an FX-550 Skygrasper for his personal use.]

[Location: Orb Union. 74 C.E.]
The smoke over Orb rose in twisting gold-white pillars—trail scars from beam fire, detonations, and the fierce churn of the coastline’s updraft. Ships burned across the horizon. Murasame units streaked through the sky in frantic pairs, their formation shattered by the brutal pressure of the ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam carving through them like a crimson spear.
And at the center of that storm was Shinn Asuka, eyes narrowed, breathing sharp and ragged inside his cockpit. Destiny’s wings blazed with Voiture Lumiere streamers as he accelerated into another attack run.
Above the sea, a glittering flash—Cagalli’s ORB-01 Akatsuki darted between explosions, its golden armor catching firelight and reflecting it outward in blinding arcs. She forced the suit through evasive thruster bursts, rolling sharply just as Destiny’s long-range beam cannon carved a molten path through the air where she had been a second earlier.
“Please! Stop this!” her voice snapped across the comms—strained, clipped with emotion but unbroken.
Shinn’s voice crackled over the open channel, bitter, angry, absolute: “I won’t let Orb betray peace again! You can’t stop this!”
A flash of blue light erupted—Destiny’s Voiture Lumiere wings flared, propelling him like a railshot directly at Akatsuki. Akatsuki braced. The shield vibrated under the impact, the reflected beam scattering harmlessly across the water’s surface, but the force alone sent her backward dozens of meters, armor singing with stress warnings.
Warning klaxons screamed.
Cagalli: “If this keeps up—!”
Destiny threw the beam boomarang to counter the Yata No Kagami. Akatsuki’s golden surface barely held as the beam boomarang cut through the joint on it's left arm.
And then—
A deep, thunderous crack like a storm collapsing inward echoed across the battlefield. Every sensor in the area spiked. A white-hot streak descended from the upper atmosphere in a straight, merciless line—an energy signature unfamiliar to Minerva, to Destiny, to Orb itself. Shinn’s HUD blared an alert, Cagalli’s breath halted. For the first time in minutes, the battle froze. The streak slowed—unfolded—revealed form. A white silhouette trimmed in jet-black and deep abyss-red.
Shinn: “What—? System interference!?”
Inside Minerva, Arthur gasped. Talia stood, eyes wide, issuing rapid inquiry orders to CIC. Even the Archangel’s CIC , half opposite the battlefield from the enemy Minerva, felt it.
**Neumann: **“New contact—breaking in from sub-luminal acceleration!”
Murrue: “Is it ZAFT reinforcement!?”
A single signature erupted through the cloud barrier—a snow-white, red-lined silhouette streaking in with monumental speed. The voice of CIC technicians aboard Minerva was frantic:
“Unknown mobile suit! MASSIVE reactor output—!”
The white machine flared into full view. The sharp winged silhouette, massive shield, and glowing VPS armor were unmistakable:
ZGMF-X22A NEW TESTAMENT GUNDAM
Shinn’s eyes widened.
Shinn: “What the—?! That’s not on any ZAFT registry!”
The suit’s Dominion Wings detached in a flare of thrust, streaking outward in four directions and locking onto Destiny from multiple vectors. Laser designators painted Shinn’s machine with diamond-shaped threat indicators.
Cagalli exhaled in disbelief. “Backup...?”
On the Archangel, Murrue Ramius leaned forward. Almost in recognition as the Gundam's IFF connected with the Archangel, showing footage of the pilot inside the New Testament's cockpit....... You.
Murrue: “So you’ve finally arrived...!”
