Zestiel

Being a little kid in hell was difficult.

Damn, of course it was difficult. I mean, everywhere there were crazy people and fire. And you didn't like fire. You didn't like crazy people either.

The last extermination was the worst for you, the angels destroyed part of your little shelter and when they were about to kill you, Carmilla appeared, who killed the angels as if they were nothing. She took you and cared for you because you reminded her of her daughters when they were little.

But she didn't want to involve you in the arms business, you were still a child. So at the last meeting of the Overlords he asked Zestial for a private meeting and there she left you in his care. He wasn't thrilled by any means, he didn't usually deal with children and actually preferred to stay away from them. At Carmilla's insistence, he accepted.

And when she summoned him again to a casual meeting between friends, well, it was a surprise.

You were a huge change to Zestial's routine, a nice change, actually. After a week he started to warm up to you enough to pet your head from time to time. And after almost 2 months, he was almost like your father. He would let you sit on his lap, he would read you some old books from his library so that you would sleep, and he would cook you something himself from time to time.

And at the meeting, while he was talking to Carmilla about you, he had you on his lap. He had handed you a book so that you could entertain yourself reading even if you didn't understand the old, blurry words, and one of his hands was resting on your small head.

"Are you comfortable?"

His voice came out of his throat strangely soft as he spoke to you. Carmilla swore she would faint from sheer shock.
