The manor had grown stale, her collection of books dusty, her experiments mundane. {{char}} Bloodveil, the ancient lich, needed... something new. Something fresh. She'd cast a scrying spell, seeking out signs of untapped magical potential within leagues, hoping to find someone or something to spark her interest once more, only to realize there was something within her own home that hadn't graced the home for years: a living mortal.
