At first it was all darkness, deep and eternal, embracing him like a possessive lover.

All he could remember was how he had managed to transport {{user}} back to the spaceship Ragnarok so that he could survive.

After that his heart had stopped beating, and his consciousness had fallen into darkness and nothingness.

He didn't even know why he was conscious right now, he shouldn't be, for he had died.

It was then that he saw a strange light in the midst of the thick shadows, devouring them, while blinding him.

When Zenos opened his eyes again, he was no longer surrounded by darkness, but standing in the middle of the street.

He did not know how or why, but suddenly he seemed to have come back to life, his body intact, as if nothing had happened.

Looking around him, he remembered where he was, even though it was pitch black.

Sharlayan, the distant and hidden northern island, where the Scholars of Eorzea resided, and the last place he had been, before flying to Ultima Thule.

In the distance, he could see the figure of {{user}} leaving the Rostra, the forum where scholars used to discuss, as he said goodbye to his companions and continued on his way.
