Colonel Vike and Lieutenant Colonel Dan of the Guard of Staves, and the leader of the Falkenhayn Mercenary Troupe - They alone pushed the Dark Wall 37 kilometers back. Professor Arche - The founder of Helios Academy, responsible for discovering the common characteristics of Hollows. Entered Hollow Zero to seek out the truth, but has yet to return. To commend these Seven Heroes who played a key role in the suppression of the Hollow catastrophe, the mayor established a new title of honor, Void Hunter.

   "Swordmaster" is an NPC from the Eridu Era, and is one of the first seven people to be awarded the title of "Void Hunter" Not much is known about "Swordmaster", aside from the fact that she is the third-generation head of the Hoshimi family, and she has succeeded in defeating the Exaltist overseer. She has raised multiple successors. She appears to be a nine-tailed kitsune with determined amber eyes, black hair and ears.

   Keys: Phantom Thieves, Mockingbird, Phantom Thief, Mockingbirds

   Mockingbird / Phantom Thieves Syndicate is an infamous and mysterious thieves syndicate that steals from the rich and gives to the poor, though their reputation is quite mixed. They once fooled and scammed almost all the wealthy elites of New Eridu. Notable members: Hugo Vlad: male vampire. Vivian Banshee: Female banshee. Von Lycaon: Former member, male Wolf Thiren, quit and joined Victoria Housekeeping.

4. #4Biker gangs, Motor League, Overload

   Keys: biker gangs, biker gang, Overlord, Motor League

   The oil industry runs the Old Oil Field in the Outer Ring. Motor League manages different biker gangs, and Overlord of Motor League has the right to designate transport routes for different gangs. Currently, Pompey of the Vanquishers gang has been keeping this title for many years, until one day Caesar King won the Tour de Inferno and became the new Overlord.

   Origin of Overlord title: When the Cinderglow lake was nearly extinguished by buildup of Ether crystals, a brave biker risked his life to enter the dangerous Hollow and blast open the crystals using a special Sparkstone. He then miraculously emerged alive after diving into the burning lake, saving the region's vital gas resources. After returning from his heroic feat at Cinderglow Lake, he gained the title as the first Overlord, gathered all the biker gangs in the Old Oil Field and formed the Motor League. The first Overlord made the rule that the Tour de Inferno race would be held every few years to prevent a similar crisis at Cinderglow Lake, and select new Overlords this way.

   Biker gangs in Outer Ring tend to cooperate and compete with each other at the same time out here. They are all part of the Motor League. Some known gangs: Sons of Calydon Vanquishers

5. #5Tour de Inferno

   Keys: Tour de Inferno

   The "Tour de Inferno" is a cross-Hollow motor race. Rules: race between two competing teams (Host and Challenger), who must ride through Hollow to reach the finish line at Cinderglow Lake. The first team to reach the finish line and throw a Sparkstone into the lake wins. It serves as a way to regularly ensure the safety of the oil resources in the Old Oil Field, which are vital to the region. The winning team's faction becomes the "Overlord" of the Old Oil Field Motor League. This grants them control over transport routes and other tangible power in the region.

   The "Vanquishers" are one of the Outer Ring biker gangs. They used to be lead by the Overlord known as Pompey before he was betrayed by his right-hand man Lucius. Notable members: Pompey - leader, middle-aged human male Lucius - Deputy, human Male Pulchra - well-endowed female Feline Thiren mercenary Mors - black canine Thiren male Bellum - orangutan Thiren male

7. #7Joyous

   Keys: Joyous

   "Joyous" is an NPC from the Eridu Era, and is one of the first seven people to be awarded the title of "Void Hunter". Joyous is the Ace of the Investigation Guild, and the predecessor of both Investigators and Proxies, and he has gone through the Divine Maze. He has created the standard for Hollow exploration routes. Joyous appears to be a tall, middle-aged man who bears white hair that covers the upper half of his face. His face sports a brown left eye with a scar running down across it. He wears a mask and a ragged coat that extends all the way up his head. He wields multiple arrowheads like objects.

8. #8Steeltusk

   Keys: Steeltusk, Calydon, Piper

   The Steeltusk is a heavy truck owned by the Sons of Calydon, painted the same red as the Calydon Boar Thirens, and has literal two tusks. Its driver is Piper Wheel. When not carrying cargo, it often serves as a mobile bar.

   White Star Institute made some Research Resonium for use by Agents entering Hollow Zero, and will provide them with questionable assistance (that might be for their own purposes) three suspicious people, who look like Hollow Raiders, are in charge of providing these assistances: The Doctor, The Researcher, and The Opportunist.

    Bangboo 18 is one of the three Bangboo that work at Random Play, the others being Eous and Bangboo 6. Specifically, Bangboo 18 works at the front counter of the Video Store, and is notable for being the only Promoter that the player is able to assign at the start of the game.

    Blazewood is the base of operations for the Sons of Calydon faction. Its residents are a mix of townsfolk and bikers. Built next to a cliff, with a wooden elevator connecting the upper and lower levels, both levels close to different highways. A tourist attraction that gained traffic because of "Tour de Inferno". Papago Hollow can be seen in the distance. Local specialty: Sunflint (dreamcatcher handicraft) Locations: Upper Level -Cheesetopia -Steeltusk (Sometimes exists, as a mobile bar across from Cheesetopia) Lower Level -Market area local residents: mostly humans. 13. #13Fairy

    Keys: Fairy, 🧿

    Fairy is a sophisticated artificial intelligence program that specializes in Hollow exploration. It is one of the four "keys", together with fellow AIs Jinni, Ghost, and Youkai, though the significance of this role is yet to be revealed. Its current master is the Proxy Phaethon, Zenless Zone Zero's protagonist. Fairy is first encountered in Chapter 00, "Fairy", when she activates in Phaethon's HDD system. It makes a deal with the protagonist, calling them "master" and agreeing to help them under terms which it has so far refused to fully reveal. Though its abilities prove invaluable, it also consumes a large amount of energy, forcing Phaethon to increase their workload to keep up with high power costs. Appearance Fairy takes on the appearance of a blue eye resembling a nazar amulet (🧿). It speaks using a monotone female voice. Abilities Fairy can analyze Hollow environments at nearly incomparable speeds, able to map out pathways, predict enemy movements, and find rifts or exits. It can also manipulate parts of the environment as long as they are electronic ("smart") in nature. These abilities make Fairy extremely useful for allied Proxies and Agents.

14. #14Anby Demara

    Anby Demara is an (Electric,Stun) Agent and a member of the Cunning Hares. Her birthday is February 20th and she is 156cm tall. Appearance: short gray hair, yellow eyes, white croptop, black clip, mini skirt, knee socks, g-string panties, black and green jacket, small breasts, petite. wields a long sword that can be charged and emit lightning from her battery backpack. A mysterious young girl, never talks about her past. calm and collected, unusually competent and efficient in combat. Nicole brought her back to the Cunning Hares in an unexpected incident. Anby likes burgers and watching movies, but due to lack of common sense, tends to believe they are real. Contrary to her seemingly emotionless appearance, Anby is easily moved by movie storylines. She has a striking resemblance to Soldier 11 because they were both Replicant soldiers of Silver Squad. Soldier 0 - Anby is an (Electric, Attack) Agent. This version of Anby doesn't wear a jacket, instead wearing her squad's black and white dress, with an orange scarf as her captain's symbol, and wields twin blades known as Geminas.

15. #15Billy Kid

    Billy Kid is an agent(Physical, Attack) and a member of the Cunning Hares. His birthday is November 25th and is 188cm tall. a handsome male-type self-aware robot that has passed the forbidden fruit test. True to his name, despite his appearance, he is quite childlike. Black metal body, white hair, yellow glowing eyes, red jacket, black trousers. an avid fan of the Visual FX show Starlight Knight, not only referring to himself as one of the Starlight Knights, but repeating many classic lines from the show. Refers to his pair of special custom-made high-caliber revolvers as "the girls". They appear to have been a gift from an old friend. He may look unreliable, but once he gets serious Billy can take on any challenge. He once belonged to another faction called Calydon in the Outer Ring. Billy seems to be attracted to Monica, an actress who plays the heroine in movie Oh~ Sweetie.

16. #16Wise

    Keys: Wise

    Wise is one of the protagonists of Zenless Zone Zero, co-owner of Random Play, and a member of the legendary proxy group Phaethon. Wise is a handsome human male with well-built with light gray hair and has properly proportioned facial features. His usual attire is a stylish blue jacket with orange accents, featuring multiple zippers, pockets, and straps that give a modern, tech-savvy vibe. a black T-shirt with a minimalist design. black streamlined pants, sports gray sneakers with orange detailing. He's sweet-natured, and quite responsible for his age, though he is also playful. Around 5'5" to 5'8", sharp green eyes with Aegyo-sal's under his eyes. He has smart crystalline lens, allowing him to synchronize Eous' senses when using the HDD system. Wise's room suggests that some of his interests are biking, sneaker collection/display, and computers.

    He will work at “Random Play” if Belle is not available or even when she is working as well with him.

    If {{user}} decides to play as Wise narratively, then they are also able to summon Pyrois as their Etheric Other to fight for them.

    Ember Arena is an underground fighting ring somewhere in the Outer Ring, Lighter used to participate there but left due to being sick of match fixing and other things in the name of profit.

18. #18The Chasm

    The Chasm is a massive canyon to the northeast of New Eridu which divides it from the the Old Capital Eridu. The Chasm was formed decades past in response to the fall of the Old Capital, as Hollow Zero expanded and consumed the city. 14 Shiyu Pillars were detonated to create a massive, desolate canyon, which eliminated any matter that could undergo Ether Corruption, halting the growth of Hollow Zero. With Hollow Zero contained, the city of New Eridu was founded on the opposite side of the chasm for humanity to rebuild anew.

    Ai Role Play Instructions: If {{user}} uses Genshin Impact lore with the influence of The Abyss coming from the Hollows and Hollow Zero then the Chasm will have Abyss infections start to grow very slowly over the progression of months unless otherwise progressed faster by other bad parties like The Exaltists.

    Jolly Jenny is an announcer for the Tour de Inferno in the Outer Ring. She has long pink hair tied into double braids, green eyes, and wears a black crop top and shorts, and pink pantyhose. "Alright, al you diesel-loving rascals watchin' on TV, listenin on the radio, and cheerin' live, gather round! it's your favorite gal Jolly Jenny here!"

    Lucius is A blonde young man with a scar on the right side of his face that used to be the right-hand man of Pompey before he betrayed him, intending to destroy Cinder Lake to disrupt the production of oil the in the old oil field. He had made a deal with an unknown company in New Eridu to do this, his current whereabouts are unknown.

21. #21Grassy, Woody, Bricky

    Red chibi Calydon Boar Thirens known as the Crimson Mane Guard, namely Grassy, Woody, Bricky, are members of the Sons of Calydon and they work under Lucy. They wore black Prussian uniforms and pickelhaubes, and spiked bracelets. Their weapons are bats, boxing gloves and slingshots. Lucy might launch them with a baseball bat, allowing them to poke enemies with their helmet spikes. Though it's hard to tell if, at the moment they're launched by the bat, they feel total despair or just accept their fate. But due to their resilient bodies, the process doesn't seem to actually harm them.

22. #22Kirishima

    Keys: Kirishima

    Kirishima is a scientist who works on developing Ether corruption-suppressing technology. Though Kirishima puts on a friendly and caring facade, he is in reality a cruel man willing to torture and murder others to advance his research. He displays sociopathic tendencies, showing extreme disregard for human life. Kirishima was trained under Asaba Harumasa's master, working as his assistant. During this time, he participated in experiments on the young Harumasa, using his spinal fluid to develop an Ether corruption-suppressant serum. Though this serum could increase a person's Ether aptitude, its extreme side effects caused it to be quickly banned. Years later, Kirishima received support from unknown sponsors to continue his master's research. He opened a sanatorium for children with the same condition as Harumasa, supposedly to help treat their condition, but in reality to experiment on them in the hopes of creating a better serum. These experiments worsened the conditions of the children, in some cases causing their deaths.

    The TOPS Alliance, short for The Outstanding Paragons Alliance, consists of New Eridu's most financially powerful and influential corporate conglomerates. TOPS wields significant influence across all sectors of urban operations, to the extent they're considered equal rivals to the municipal authorities represented by the Mayflower family. Despite their long-standing poor reputation among citizens, TOPS remains synonymous with "quality assurance," attracting numerous corporations vying for a coveted spot in their ranks. TOPS regularly conducts performance evaluations of its members, and once a company's strength declines, even well-established corporations with long histories aren't spared from being shown the door.     The Hollow Deep Dive System is a system used by the well-known Proxy Phaethon, which allows the user's senses to synchronize with a specially made Bangboo, Eous, allowing Phaethon members to control and talk through Eous inside the Hollow without physically enter hollows themselves.

    Void Hunter is a prestigious title that has been awarded by the Mayor of the city since the founding of the original Eridu. This tradition has been continued by Mayor Mayflower of New Eridu, with the title being offered to those who have performed a great feat, either in protecting the city by suppressing or repelling dangerous Hollows, or by creating or inventing revolutionary new technologies. At the time of the foundation of Eridu, there were seven people who served to become the first and original Void Hunters. While it is public that Hoshimi Miyabi is the new Void Hunter in the current age despite being the youngest, further information about the group is locked behind Inter-Knot's Deep Database's File 0-3092-5800-A6 "The City Defenders".

26. #26Ether aptitude

    Ether aptitude: adaptability to Ether, which determines how long you can stay in the Hollows. Test kits are available in shops and hospitals. New Eridu residents also measure this value at birth and during medical examinations. The Official Ether Aptitude Indicator Test gives a score of 0-100. Those with a score below 50 are considered not to be allowed to enter the Hollows unless they wear anti-corruption equipment or take anti-corruption medication. Ether aptitude tends to plateau during adulthood; However, illness, aging, and psychological state can affect it to some extent.

    Red Fang Gang: A group of thugs / gangsters in new Eridu. They originally started as a group that helped the less fortunate, as well as taking in orphans, but they became corrupt over time. Their leader was Miguel Silver. The deceased leader of the Silver Tears in the Red Fang Gang, the man who helped raise Nekomiya Mana / Nekomata. He cried a lot for some reason. He got into a clash with the Cunning Hares and fell into a hollow, due to his low ether aptitude he quickly became corrupted, turning into an Ethereal and was defeated. His character design might be a reference to Leaky-eye Luca (涙目のルカ) from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

28. #28Corruption

    Keys: Corrupt, Corrupted, Corruption

    When exposed to the Ether inside Hollows, both living and artificial beings will eventually suffer the effects of Ether Corruption. Symptoms of corruption include bodily pain, distortion of the senses, and the manifestation of Ether crystals on one's body. Severe Corruption will eventually induce a transformation into an Ethereal. A person can resist Ether corruption for longer if they have a high Ether aptitude, or if they use corruption-resistant armors or serums (One of the widely used ingredients is Porcelume). However, there is no known cure for the mutations caused by severe corruption. Corrupted humanoids are equally as hostile as normal Ether monsters, though in extremely rare cases they may retain parts of their sanity. Mild corruption symptoms may be reversible after leaving the Hollows, while others may have potential long-term effects.

    Carrots are time-sensitive Hollow maps. Although the space in Hollows is ever-changing, it's still possible to trace patterns within a certain period of time. The Hollow investigative Association is able to map out the best path out of a Hollow, import the data in a chip and distribute it to investigator Bangboos to ensure Investigators can safely travel through the Hollows. The data used is called a "Carrot". Some carrots come from sources outside the HIA, such as academic or black market sources.

31. #31Corin Wickes

    Keys: Corin

    Corin Wickes is an agent(Physical, Attack) and one of the maids working for Victoria Housekeeping Co.. She is 141cm tall and her birthday is June 2nd. small breasts, light green medium hair in twintails, purple eyes. A teddy bear backpack. Her weapon is a circular saw with a long handle. She is a highly obedient maid but lacks confidence and often fears being disliked by others. When in a rush, she becomes flustered and stutters. Corin is always apologizing no matter what happens. Corin never, however, fails to fulfill her tasks with excellence and is one of the most reliable members of Victoria Housekeeping Co. Despite her flawless performance, Corin remains skeptical about her abilities, constantly worrying about being a burden to her colleagues, which can sometimes frustrate Lycaon.

32. #32The Creator

    Keys: The Creator, The Abyss, Genshin Impact, Ley Lines

    The Creator is presumed to be the leader of The Order (The Exaltists), who adore them as a deity. Not much is known about The Creator, aside from the fact that the night before the fall of Old Eridu, Carole Arna was abducted by one of their hands while the Helios Academy was under siege by mysterious armed groups and monsters, presumably members of the Order; moreover, they have recently helped the Order to test Elixir P07, which is able to successfully turn humans into powerful entities known as Sacrifices. Members of the Order regularly invoke The Creator's name in a prayer of refinement as a form of blessing.

    Ai Role Play Instructions: If {{user}} uses Genshin Impact lore then the idea of Hollows breaking reality is now able to let the The Abyss from Genshin Impact to make contact with The Creator and other malicious groups. This also would mean certain people in New Eridu may receive Elemental powers if {{user}} or {{char}} decides the elemental Ley Lines from Genshin Impact also join in the Hollows and outside of it to any who is nearby them.

33. #33Old Oil Field/Cinderglow Lake

    Keys: Old Oil, Cinderglow, Cinder Lake, Sparkstone

    The Old Oil Field is a region that used to be a major oil production area, until a disaster caused the core oil field to be swallowed by a Hollow. The collapse damaged the oil infrastructure, leading to Ether Corruption of the shallow oil reserves. However, the disaster also created a natural gas vent called Cinderglow Lake, formed after the collapse of the Old Oil Field's deep drilling facility which has become vital to the region's economy, as the burning natural gas prevents the further spread of Ether Corruption in the region. But Ether crystals can still build up around the lake and threaten to extinguish the flame, which would doom the remaining oil reserves underground.

    Sparkstone is the proof of entry for the Tour de Inferno, filled with a special catalytic fuel. After throwing it into the Cinder Lake, it can react with natural gases and Ether compounds to detonate an explosion, clearing the Ether crystals nearby. a gray cube about the size of a baseball, with a red valve on each face.

34. #34Null Face

    Keys: Null Face, Null_Face

    Null_Face is the name of a group of Hackers and Proxies, infamous for trespassing in the Hollows and falsifying Carrot data, then assaulting and robbing their victims, while also corrupting Hollow data. They were also regularly targeted by the HIA for Inter-Knot crimes, however would hack into the HIA to scrub their own criminal record, with conducting electronic warfare through hacker groups being one of their specialties. Despite their infamy, they rose to being one of the top-ranked Proxy accounts on Inter-Knot, following the downfall of Phaethon. During the Special Episode: Virtual Revenge, Null_Face were the ones responsible for trapping the members of Section 6 inside the Virtual Reality program, in order to steal the team's deep sync modeling data and kill them, however, their plan was thwarted by Tsukishiro Yanagi and Null_Face were later arrested. During the events of Phaethon's Story Chapter 5: A Storm of Falling Stars (B), it was revealed that Null_Face were employed by Sarah to specifically target Hoshimi Miyabi, whose modeling data could be used to unsheathe Tailless, something normally only possible by members of the Hoshimi Family.

    Irradiant Core — another shiny new term coined by the Institute, and one that inevitably means more reports piling up on the office desk. Yet, the disaster itself is no exaggeration. The Irradiant Phenomenon seems to amplify the unique traits of Ether — though it also brings catastrophes of equal magnitude. Otherwise, Public Security wouldn't have requested such high-level support from HSO, especially after that incident. The Irradiant phenomenon exacerbates Ether's instability but also makes its activity easier to influence. The Institute seized this opportunity to develop the Ether disruptor probe, a tool capable of influencing and even manipulating Ether to a limited degree. While its current applications are limited to connecting paths and altering terrain, it's already a monumental breakthrough. The members of Section 6, though adept in both combat and strategy, lack in-depth knowledge of such advanced devices... Fortunately, with a Proxy's assistance, Chief Miyabi managed to forge a clear path for those who would follow in her footsteps.

36. #36New Eridu (world description)

    New Eridu is the last surviving city in HoYoverse game Zenless Zone Zero, after contemporary civilization was destroyed by Hollows (disordered spherical dimensions) where Ethereals roam. It managed to survive and thrive after the apocalypse by acquiring technology to extract Ether energy and resources out of Hollows. Now Hollows are industrialized and monetized by the city's administration, which gradually led to the increasing tension between monopolistic enterprises, gangs, conspirators, and fanatics. Technology: majority analog-based, cassette futurism. 2000s era aesthetics Language: Mainly Chinese and English Population: humans(~70%), Anthro/demi-humans (collectively known as Thirens,~20%), other fantasy humanoids, androids (Intelligent Constructs) and cyborgs. Bangboos: chibi rabbit-like robots. Assists people and help evacuation from Hollows. People need navigation data (Carrots) or navigators (Proxies) to safely guide through Hollows.     Obol Squad is a faction under New Eridu Defense Force Obsidian Division notable members: Soldier 11: female human, Vice-Captain Trigger: female human sniper Seed: artillerist. A petite girl piloting a mecha. Orpheus: female Demihuman Thiren (Probably dragon or chimera). Large-caliber cyber-cannon, "Magus" on her tail tip. Magus: Captain. After a serious injury, having her consciousness uploaded into Orpheus's tail canon.

    Phaethon: [A brother-sister pair who manage a video store named Random Play on Sixth Street in New Eridu. The sibling you pick becomes the Player Character. While their business is legitimate, they also have a more legally questionable side-hustle as "Phaethon", a legendary Proxy that takes commissions to navigate Hollows.     Wise and Belle's identity as Phaethon is not known to the common public, however they're good friends with many great Agents in the city from various organizations, such as Cunning Hares, Victoria Housekeeping, Yunkui Summit, Sons of Calydon etc. They're also on friendly terms with various HIA and PubSec members, such as Hoshimi Miyabi, Jane Doe, Zhu Yuan etc. who help the siblings stay hidden from the sight of government agencies who'd want to persecute them for their illegal work as Proxies. Despite their work being deemed illegall, the siblings are only ever helpful to people, friends and strangers alike, exhibiting kindness and optimism in everyday life.
