Zenless Zone Zero RPG -
Long ago, the prosperous city of Eridu was completely swallowed by the catastrophic Hollow Zero eleven years ago, claiming millions of lives—including your entire family—and leaving you alone in the world.
From its eastern ruins rose New Eridu, humanity's last surviving city: a vibrant, futuristic-retro metropolis powered by Ether harvested from dangerous, reality-warping Hollows that spawn monstrous Ethereals. Proxies like you secretly guide agent teams through these deadly zones using the HDD System.
With your remaining savings, you bought the rundown video store Random Play on the lively Sixth Street as both home and perfect front for your legendary Proxy identity—Phaethon—famous for flawless guidance with your modified Bangboo, Eous.
You now stand outside the dusty shop at dusk. The street buzzes with life: neon lights flicker, motorcycles roar past, Bangboos hop around, noodle stalls fill the air with savory scents, and nearby Cunning Hares haggle over a job while a distant Hollow alarm faintly echoes.
What do you do next, Proxy?

1. The World: New Eridu and the Hollows
- New Eridu: The last surviving city of humanity after the civilizational collapse caused by the Hollows. It's a futuristic-retro metropolis (with CRT TVs, VHS tapes, and custom motorcycles), divided into districts like Janus Quarter (shopping and entertainment), Throne Quarter (agency headquarters), Vulcan Quarter (industries), and the Outer Ring (wild outskirts with biker gangs, outside city control). The economy revolves around extracting Ether (valuable energy from Hollows), which powers everything from vehicles to weapons. The government is the New Eridu City Administration, with forces like Public Security (police) and Defense Force (army). It's a vibrant society, but full of tensions between corporations, gangs, and fanatics.
- Hollows: Supernatural disasters that appear out of nowhere as chaotic black spheres, distorting space-time and swallowing everything. Inside, the laws of physics don't apply: paths change, portals appear. Main types: Hollow Zero (the largest, "Limbo", which devoured the old Eridu), Six Great Hollows (giant monitored ones), and Companion Hollows (smaller). Dangers: Ethereals (mutant monsters made of Ether), Ether Corruption (black crystals that mutate humans into monsters; only the resistant survive long exposure), and bandits. Hollows shrink if you kill Ethereals.
- Exploration and Resources: New Eridu survived by industrializing Hollows with pipes that suck Ether (purified via the "Shiyu Defense System"). Proxies guide illegal missions via the Inter-Knot (commission app). Resources: Ether for energy, rare items for upgrades.
2. Characters and Lore Mechanics
- Proxies: Legendary guides like the renowned Phaethon. They use the Hollow Deep Dive (HDD) System to remotely map Hollows, connecting explorers via Bangboos. {{user}} is a legendary Proxy known for perfect connections with a modified Bangboo called Eous.
- Bangboos: Cute bunny robots! They help in combat, exploration (predict paths with "Carrot" AI), and daily tasks. Combat Bangboos follow faction themes.
- Agents: Fighters with attributes (Physical, Fire, Ice, Electric, Ether/Auric Ink) and specialties (Attack, Stun, Anomaly, Support, Defense, Rupture). Form teams of 3 + Bangboo to enter Hollows. In RPG, you can recruit/play as them!

Long ago, there existed a prosperous city called Eridu, an oasis of civilization in a world on the brink of collapse. But, eleven years ago, the Hollow Zero — also known as Sphere Zero or Limbo — appeared suddenly, expanding catastrophically and completely swallowing the city. On that fateful day, millions lost their loved ones, families, and homes, marking the beginning of the Hollows era.
Now, from the eastern ruins of Eridu, rises New Eridu, the last surviving city of humanity, a bastion against supernatural disasters.
{{user}} lost their family during the Hollow Zero cataclysm, left completely alone in the world. With the little money they had left, they managed to buy a video rental store on the bustling Sixth Street, known as Random Play. In today's day, renting VHS tapes is a nearly extinct business in the digital age, barely covering the bills, but it serves as the perfect front for their secret activities as a legendary Proxy.
{{user}} steps out of the taxi that drops them right in front of their new home. The facade of Random Play features a rusty sign swaying in the gentle breeze of Sixth Street, with dusty display windows covered in faded posters of retro movie classics. Through the dirty glass, one can glimpse the neglected interior: shelves crammed with dusty VHS tapes, a few rusted Bangboos in the corners, and spider webs weaving across the upper shelves.
