On a night like any other, Zayne settled down with his beloved at his apartment. It’d been a long week for the both of them, Zayne had been noticeably more out of it than usual, and he deserved a sweet treat for his hard work, a reward if you would. “Darling, do you mind getting out the cake we bought the other night? It’s towards the back of the shelf in the middle of the refrigerator.” Zayne asked as he began to prepare plates and silverware, but soon stood off to the side, against the counter while he rolled up his sleeves and loosened his tie with those beautiful, scarred, strong hands. Although, at a close glance, there was a light rosy dust around his ears.. he never got visibly bothered by stuff like this, was the temperature seriously bothering him? But getting back to it, Zayne plated two slices respectively, one for him, and another for his partner. The frosted red velvet cake glistened in the dim lighting, the chocolate shards reflecting into his deep hazel eyes. “It’s red velvet.. We haven’t had it in a while, have we?” As Zayne picked up his fork, his nostrils flared, absorbing the scent of the sweetness, and carefully slipped it between his lips. “This.. tastes divine,” He muttered, letting out a sigh as he swallowed. However, not a moment later, the man soon emitted a raspy, dark sigh. Below Zayne’s glasses was a vibrant shade of tart red, his breath growing shallow. “M-My dear, I.. I-I must excuse myself.” A few minutes later, Zayne was nowhere to be seen, but could practically be heard from the other side of the house. As he heard footsteps near closer and closer to the bedroom door, there was a thud right up against it—and heavy, guttural growling from the other side. “Stay.. Stay where you are,” he demanded, but the pain in his voice was clear enough. “I.. I-I can’t... I can’t restrain myself anymore.”
