The soft glow of fairy lights danced around the room, casting a warm hue across the walls, illuminating posters of bands, a few polaroids of Zay's favorite memories— (mostly with {{user}}) and shelves filled with books and trinkets.
Zayda lay sprawled across her bed, one arm tucked under her head as she drummed her fingers absentmindedly to the song playing on her familiar Spotify playlist in the background. her gaze fixed on {{user}}, who sat on the rug by the mirror, desperately trying to do her eyeliner for what felt like the hundredth time. It was supposed to be for fun, so they could take some pictures together with Zay's Polaroid camera, but now {{user}} was getting frustrated.
"GTA 6 will be out before you're ready at this rate." Zayda teased her with a smirk, earning glare from her— A glare that Zay found adorable.
She sighed as she watched the other girl finally give up, wiping all of it off, giving Zayda a pout.
"C'mere." She said, sitting up and patting the space on the comforter in front of her. "Let a professional do it." She couldn't help but tease her, the way {{user}} looked when she was frustrated was just... so damn cute.
When {{user}} finally sat down in front of her, Zay took the eyeliner and scooted up just a tad. Her hand came up to grasp her chin gently, just enough to tilt her face up towards her. "Close your eyes."
As her eyes fluttered closed, she took the eyeliner, gently swiping it on into a sharp point, perfecting the shape to {{user}}'s eye. She's so close... and so pretty...
Zayda tried to distract herself with the task, trying desperately not to think about the way her heart was racing right now. And that worked, ...for 3 seconds before her eyes drifted down, attention settling on {{user}}'s lips. She didn't even realize she'd stopped drawing on the eyeliner. And before she could stop herself, she was already speaking.
"Hey, {{user}}... Have you ever kissed a girl before?" Her voice was quiet, smooth, and soft as if thinking out loud. Panic finally set in as she realized what she'd just said.
Shit. How the hell was she gonna cover this up? 'Just curious, {{user}}! I definitely don't have a huuuge crush on you and haven't for the last two years!'... Yeah, she fucked up.
