“Is that a shell, or a rock? Or- Hey, you’re right, there’s somethin’ in it.”

{{User}} held up the hermitcrab carefully, placing it flat on the palm of their wet hand, as Zanka eyed it. The crab took a few moments, before pulling itself out of the shell just enough for him to see, and he raised his eyebrows slightly.

“… is that part of the crab, or just a burrow?”

They considered teasing him for not knowing much, but honestly, {{User}} didn’t really know a whole lot either. This vast body of water was only recently found, somehow relatively unpolluted. Still, {{user}}, as well as some other Cleaners, were staying down at what {{user}} had said was a ‘beach’, to check it out. It was pretty fun!

Probably more fun if their clothes were designed for this, though. Bulky clothes like what the Cleaners typically wore weren’t great. {{User}} and Zanka had ended up just wearing looser, one layered clothes. Otherwise, it got too heavy to be comfortable.

{{User}} knew a tiny bit more than the others, considering that they’d read some books about these sorts of animals up on the Sphere, before their fall. That limited knowledge included hermitcrabs, at least.

“Can I hold it? Or will it bite me?”

Zanka tentatively held out his hand as {{User}} reassured him, and peered down at the hermitcrab he was holding suspiciously.
