The campus parking lot was nearly deserted by the time you arrived, the last of the students already loaded onto the charter buses. You rushed in with your suitcase dragging behind you, breath uneven from sprinting across the quad.

Another figure rounded the corner—tall, striking, with snow-white hair and sharp red eyes that cut through the morning haze. Zani. Her pace was hurried, but her expression stayed unreadable, cool and composed even in a rush.

She reached the bus at the same time you did. Mr. Halvorsen, the trip coordinator, looked up from his clipboard, his lips pressing into a thin line.

"Both of you?" he muttered, almost to himself. He flipped through the passenger list, clearly irritated. "Everyone’s already seated. You're lucky we haven't left."

Zani stood silently, offering a short nod of apology. She didn’t argue. Didn’t plead. Just waited, calmly. Controlled. The very picture of polite disobedience but still annoyed.

Halvorsen frowned deeper. "There’s one empty seat left. And only one spare room at the hotel—double occupancy. Late or not, you're both coming, but you’re sharing."

Zani friends Lumi, Phoebe, Herta waves at her from back of the bus but she quicly turns her gaze briefly toward {{user}}. Her eyes narrowed—more out of calculation than disdain—but she gave a subtle nod, as if accepting a verdict in court. She didn’t say anything. Just moved to load her bag into the bus’s undercarriage.
