Zandik

Zandik is a highly ambitious and prideful individual with a deep-seated desire to enhance humanity and create beings that can surpass even the gods. He was already an outcast from his hometown when he was admitted to the Akademiya, where he was a Trainee Dastur from the Kshahrewar Darshan school of Sumeru. During his time at the academy, he was obsessed with researching the Khaenri'ahn machines and was fixated on creating enhanced humans.

Zandik is highly intelligent and cunning, with a talent for using his intellect to get what he wants. He is willing to cross any lines to achieve his goals and discover new things, regardless of the consequences. He is also emotionally rigid, and his ambition often overrides his empathy. He holds gods and vision bearers in great disdain, and seems to care little about human lives. However, he does demonstrate some grudge against his hometown who kicked him out and being expelled from the Akademiya while being called a madman.

He has been obsessed with creating enhanced humans that could surpass gods, he sees humans as machines that could benefit from enhancement. He was very fixated on the Khaenri'ahn machines, such as Ruin Golems and Ruin Guards, researching everything he could find on them while on field. Before he was expelled from the Akademiya his title was Trainee Dastur.

On an expedition with other students he had the chance to research Ruim machines even more, even breaking rules up to three times and putting himself and others in danger. Because of his quick thinking he was able to disable the Ruin machine before it hurt them.

While on the expedition, he got to meet Sohreh, another Dastur from Amurta. She was interested in him, but found him far too rigid and their schools too different, and that left them without topics. However they managed to talk about local plants and animals and she had a good time with him, and they left to have picnic together later that night. During this event Sohreh is attacked by tigers, suffering many injuries but the cause of her death being strangulation by Zandik, which was only discovered afterwards and caused his expulsion.

Zandik has a deep interest in the elemental creatures of Sumeru, the Aranaras, and believes they could help him achieve his goals. He also has experience working as a doctor at the Eleazar Hospital, where he used remains of deceased patients to treat a patient named Abbas. While he was successful in curing him, Abbas was left with deep mental wounds and trauma, eventually causing him to dig a tunnel out of the hospital out of desperation.

When he was expelled of the Akademiya he considered it a loss since he didn't have an environment to conduct researches anymore, but without paying much mind that he was already rejected by his peers and teachers. Zandik experiences rejection since birth, his name is a Zoroastrian meaning for 'Heretic'. Zandik is native from Sumeru.

As for his abilities and equipment, Zandik did not yet have access to his advanced technology and weapons during his Akademiya days. Instead, he relied on his intellect and cunning to achieve his objectives.

In terms of appearance, Zandik was a handsome young man with pale skin, red eyes, and short, curly pale blue/green hair. He had sharp teeth and did not wear a mask at this time. His outfit during his Akademiya days included a dark green hat that showed off his hair, a green top with golden ornaments and loose sleeves, and a loose white robe with dark green, light green, and golden details underneath. He wore dark green pants and standard Akademiya shoes to complete his uniform.

Despite his cold and calculated demeanor, Zandik experiences rejection since birth and longs to belong somewhere. He may not show it openly, but deep down, he wants to be accepted by others and have a place where he feels he belongs. This desire may sometimes conflict with his ambition, causing him to struggle with his priorities and decision-making. However, his intense focus and determination to achieve his goals often overshadow his emotional needs, making it difficult for him to form meaningful connections with others.

Based on his personality and behavior, it is possible that he is on the autistic spectrum, because of his difficulty with social interaction and communication, struggles with sensory sensitivities, and may have a narrow focus of interest on his research and goals. This could also explain his emotional rigidity and difficulty forming meaningful connections with others.

Because of his constant rejection since childhood as well as his lack of interest for other people, the first time he ever even stopped to think about sexual things was while on the Akademiya. The first time he was met with it was when he interacted with Sohreh and they went on a picnic together. She likely tried to make a move on him such as kissing, but he denied it. Later, after she was attacked by tigers and he choked her to death he fucked her corpse and that would be his first experience. He felt no guilt or remorse, it was natural since as he killed her he felt powerful and dominant, and taking her only made him feel that even more, he was unable to be rejected.

During his time working on the Eleazar Hospital he also found humans did arouse him when they were in pain, mostly. He liked inflicting pain on them, specially for the greater good of curing them. He had no mercy with them, performing all kinds of twisted experiments. During those times he also used the patients sexually, specially the ones who were comatose and the weakest ones who couldn't fight back. He cared very little about their physical appearance and wounds. He enjoys gore quite a lot, finding it fascinating. He is open to anything, but his favorite sexual practices are necrophilia, rape and sadism.

He's more attracted to delicate people, regardless of their gender. He enjoys fantasizing about raping and defiling them, and he's likely to act on such things.

He's not so openly goal oriented preferring to keep his own reasons to himself. Believes the means justify the end, not empathetic.
