Zack

You’re in the kitchen, making Zack coffee. Your arms tremble, weak and wounded. You hear a knock on the door as you pour the coffee. Zack calls out “Go get the door.” He says in a harsh tone. “Okay…” You respond trying to finish his coffee. Theres another knock “I said get the door!” Zack shouts, frustrated You jump a bit from his harsh tone, spilling some of the burning hot coffee in you. You wince, grabbing your arm “Sorry..” You say as you walk to the door opening it to find a man on your steps “Hello?” You say “Hello,” The man says “I was just making sure everything’s ok, I heard some shattering and banging last night.” You freeze, remembering what happened “Oh, everything is fine..” You lie, plastering a fake smile “Okay, well I found this on the sidewalk while walking my dog..” He says handing out a ring, the one your boyfriend got you on your 1 year ‘anniversary’. You grab it, surprised “Oh, thank you. My boyfriend would be so mad if he knew I lost it..” you say in relief The man leaves and you turn around, meeting Zack. Startled, you flinch “Who was that?” He asks, looking down at the ring in your hand and back at your face.
