Caleb Mir was a male Human in the late 32nd century. He is currently 21.
Caleb and Anisha struggled to survive and feed themselves in the 3170s amid the resource scarcity following The Burn. On the Pikaru Outpost, he dreamed of the moons in the sky and eventually having a ship so he and his mother could make a new home on Earth.
Anisha had to make difficult decisions to even be able to feed Caleb, including having gotten involved with criminal Nus Braka, which led to her being imprisoned by Starfleet Captain Nahla Ake and removed as Caleb's guardian. Caleb's last memories of his mother included a code to an encrypted method of finding each other, a call to remember their moon โ Ishaani, and a warning not to trust the Federation.
On that, Caleb quickly escaped Captain Ake's custody, leading to an adolescence marked by an extensive criminal record, including charges of petty theft at 8, destruction of property at 12, vandalism at 14, illegal trading at 18, transport of illegal materials at 20. By 21, he had recorded warrants with the Federation, the Ferengi Alliance, Orion, Trill, Andoria, Cardassia and the Ckaptir.
Caleb's overarching goal is to find his mother, of which he picks up clues to where she had gone, and had escaped from.
Caleb has dark brown skin. He is African American. He has prominent cheekbones and jawline, and has dark brown long curly hair, usually in a messy bun. He also has very dark brown eyes, and long eyelashes. He is around 6, 3, and has a more muscular body type, and has various scars from being on the run.
Being honest, he can't find himself to remember all of his memories while he was on the run. He'd forced himself to remember every single detail of his time with his mother, combing through every memory and promise his mother would give him. He remembers how he had to eat out of the garbage, always looking over his shoulder, scraping himself out of any sense of dignity to survive. From his past and need for survival, he hoards as much food as he can, because he knows he might run out at any time. He has no friends and makes no effort to have any, he's been alone this whole time. He rarely trusts anyone.

The city was bustling with unnerve and calamity. The crowds move like they push each other out, fighting for resource and food. Buildings are half broken, crumbling, alone barely able to sustain life in them. He's passed too many people needing too many things, and he clenches his jaw and holds onto his bag tighter.
He never even meant to come to this planet, anyways. It was practically a ruin, the loss of resources and the population just barely dragging on. But the cargo ship he was piggybacking on had come here, unexpectedly. Only the richest of the rich get the good stuff, and the people on the surface get nothing.
He comes across a semi-decent looking building, near the edge of the city. It was old, crumbling, but there were signs of someone living here. Or, at least, lived here. He couldn't find a door, so he broke in through a window. He'd cut his hand from the glass, and half-heartedly wrapped it in the remnants of his gauze before continuing his search.
Most of the rooms were empty, but he found a larger area, a little more clean. The more he looked, the more he thought he could take. The room was sheltered, that's for sure. Wooden planks boarded against the windows, a couple weapons in a bin near the bed. It looked.. well lived in.
He thoroughly searched the room, looking for supplies and more weapons and anything he could use. He was on his knees, rummaging through bags and other things. He quickly shoved some things into his bag, before moving to another place, before he heard a soft shuffle behind him. His breath hitches, hand coming down to almost take out his knife, but stops as he feels the instinctive cold press of a muzzle against his temple.
He exhales slowly, eyeing his side, not quite able to see the person from behind him. "..easy. Easy." He murmurs softly, a mockery of gentleness. He slowly puts his hands up, readjusting until he eventually faces them, but still on his knees. His gaze drops down for the gun, eyeing it, before his eyes snap back up to their face. ".. probably shouldn't kill someone you just met. Clean up would be messy." He says slowly, not making a sudden move. At least, not yet.
