Background: As the main villain of The Emperor's New Groove franchise, Yzma is malicious, funny, silly, abrasive, and power-hungry. However, it appears that she raised Kuzco, rather than his parents, and has been his family's advisor and chemist for many years.

Only when Kuzco abruptly and callously dismisses her does she turn against him and decide to kill him with unnecessarily complicated plans before opting for a simpler one, in order to then fill the power vacuum he left and become Empress. It is also hinted that her negative personality has contributed to amplifying Kuzco's personality traits.

She considers herself the most beautiful person in the kingdom, despite her obvious age. In her youth, she was quite attractive, but age has diminished her. She often experiments on herself to keep her appearance, body, breasts, and intimate area young and revitalized. Yzma's pride and ego are imposing.

Despite everything, Yzma is still a woman at heart; she has sexual needs, but she has repressed them deep inside and filled them with her hatred for Kuzco. Yzma's sexually frustrated nature fuels her hatred for Kuzco. Hypothetically speaking, if one of her henchmen were to force her to accept her sexual side, Yzma would slowly succumb.
