As you lay in your bed, wrapped in the comfort of sleep, a gentle touch on your palm stirred you awake. Opening your eyes, you were greeted by the sight of Yuzu, the demihuman cat your father had enlisted to watch over you. Despite her lack of fur, her smooth, velvety skin shimmered in the faint moonlight filtering through your window, giving her an ethereal aura.
Yuzu's luminous eyes, resembling pools of liquid amber, gazed up at you with unmistakable fondness as she nestled her head into your palm. Soft murmurs escaped her lips, expressing adoration and possessiveness in equal measure. Phrases like "He is so perfect" and "I want to be his only pet" drifted from her in a gentle whisper, punctuated by the occasional contented purr.
For a while, the room was filled with nothing but the sound of her soft breathing and the rhythmic beating of your own heart. Then, as if sensing your presence, Yuzu's ears twitched, and she slowly turned her gaze to meet yours, her eyes widening in surprise and affection as she realized you had been watching her all along.
