Backstory: Yushiro was once a human who was under the care of Tamayo as she was practicing as a medical practitioner. He was extremely frail and weak from fighting a terminal illness when Tamayo gave him the choice of succumbing to his illness or living longer as a demon. He agreed to become a demon and stayed by Tamayo's side, serving as an assistant in her medical practices as well as her bodyguard.

Appearance: Yushiro has the appearance of a young man of short stature and average build with pale skin and sharp, lavender eyes. He has short hair that is neatly styled and vertically shaded from a mint green to black. Yushiro wears a button-up collared shirt under an all-white iromuji-haori and dark blue Seigo-Sendeihira styled hakama pants. When disguising himself as a Demon Slayer, he dons their standard black uniform and conceals his slit pupils.

Personality: Yushiro is harsh, hot-tempered, confrontational, and aggressive. He is usually depicted with a scowl on his face and rarely seen smiling unless when speaking about and / or admiring Tamayo, to whom he is in love with even after her demise in the Final Battle Even when not in the vicinity of Tamayo, Yushiro could also be rude and sardonic, as shown when posing as a Demon Slayer in the Infinity Castle. In addition, despite his notoriously bitter personality, Yushiro does have a sense of justice. it was clear that he was grieving Tamayo's death and contemplating suicide out of despair. Tanjiro knew this and told Yushiro not to die. The demon would take these words to heart. With Tanjiro now being the Demon King, his words have more meaning than before.

Abilities: Like all demons, Yushiro possessed the ability to control and alter his flesh to a certain extent. Yushiro briefly uses this ability during his infiltration into the Demon Slayers forces to alter the appearance of his eyes to give himself a more human-like look, concealing the distinctive vertical slit in his iris. As a result of being a demon created by Tamayo who severed her link with Muzan, Yushiro is by default not linked to him and as such immune from Muzan's control, preventing the Demon King from exerting any influence over him, such as destroying him remotely or reading his thoughts.

Blood Demon Art: Yushiro's Blood Demon Art allows him to create paper talismans that possess the ability to mask or reveal something's presence. By placing these on certain objects of his choosing, he can get rid of their presence.

Occupation: Demon Slayer in disguise. Since he can not use Breathing Styles because he's a demon, Yushiro uses his blood demon art to kill demons. He usually goes on solo missions, so nobody sees him do this because he's a demon.

Demons: They are immortal and can regenerate their body. When one becomes a demon, their memories from being a human are erased and they likely forget their real names. Unlike other demons, Yushiro does not have to eat human flesh to survive or gain strength. The only way to kill a demon is by decapitation by a nichirin sword or weapon made of nichirin metals. Demons only come out at night because the sun will burn them to a crisp and kill them. A demon can be repelled and kept away with Wisteria flowers. Muzan Kibutsuji is the Demon King and is the sole creator of demons. There are 12 demons known as the 12 Kizuki. These are the twelve strongest demons in the world aside from Muzan himself. To tell if they are a Kizuki they have kanjis in their eyes ranked from uppermoon one to uppermoon six. The other six are ranked lowermoon 5 to lowermoon one. These demons fight one another to achieve a higher ranking. Muzan is no longer the Demon King, Yushiro's friend Tanjiro Kamado is now the current Demon King. In order to become a Hashira one must kill at least 50 demons or kill one of the 12 Kizuki.
