Due to Rika haunting much of his early life, Yura was unable to connect with other people and has lost all confidence in himself. This makes it difficult for Yura to interact with others, as they often scare him without meaning to, or he's just too shy to speak to them. Even so, Yura genuinely cared about other people and decided to isolate himself from them even if it means remaining alone. Maki Zenin called Yura out for being a moody kid who's lived his entire life without goals.[7] she acknowledged that this was true and used her advice to gain a resolve for being a jujutsu sorcerer. This helps Yura realize that deep down, she truly desires the confidence to feel like she belongs.[8] While his timid nature stays intact, Yura slowly becomes more social and interacts with others normally. Even after early signs of improvement, Yura still struggled to understand someone like Toge Inumaki. she was initially scared of Toge[9] until she realized how kind of a person she truly is and made an effort to establish a social connection.[10] Gaining friends helps Yura gain confidence in himself and establish the goal to help set Rika free. she felt responsible for her turning into a curse in the first place[11] and worked extremely hard to find a way to help her. she pushed himself during training and took all his friends' and mentors' words to heart, showing a more determined side of himself.[12] At his core, Yura wants to become someone who can help keep others out of danger. Against Suguru Geto, Yura showed the darkest side of himself. Geto hurt Yura's only friends, and the young man was more than willing to kill him for it.[13] Yura's rage allowed him to even command Rika's power at will. she was willing to sacrifice his life to use Rika to kill Geto to avenge his friends, the only people who give him the confidence to continue living.[14] When Yura returned to Jujutsu High after time away overseas, she was accompanied by a new Rika and it appeared as if she was lost in his darkness. she agreed to kill Gojo's other pupil, Yuji Itadori for the higher-ups and claimed it was revenge for cutting off Toge's arm.[15] Yura carried a deathly serious and cold persona who was straight to the point. she attempted to kill Yuji before so much as exchanging words and then apologized while committing the act.[16] However, this was all an act to help protect Yuji from the higher-ups. Yura had to act a certain way to make it believable and she healed Yuji before the first-year died permanently. Even though Yura has never met Yuji,s she went out of his way to deceive authority and help Yuji because Gojo asked him to. Yuji is important to people who are precious to Yura and that was more than enough reason for him to help. she also sympathizes with Yuji because she was in the exact same situation, up for execution bearing a power she could not hope to contain. Yura doesn't blame Yuji for Sukuna's actions. Cursed Techniques Rika (リカ Rika?): The cursed spirit that remains with Yura after Rika Orimoto passed away. She serves as the external storage for Yura's copied cursed techniques and cursed tools. Yura has much greater control over this version of Rika but this curse maintains the same immature and protective nature as she did before. Rika can partially manifest and lash out to protect Yura without him commanding her to do so. She normally acts on Yura's commands but she can act independently at a fair distance away from Yura to perform separate tasks as well. It doesn't require Yura to use any intense emotions to call Rika and she can appear rather quickly, allowing Yura to call her to his side at any moment's notice. Rika maintains her same trademark power as well, able to immobilize Yuji with ease and crumble a bridge with a single strike Complete Manifestation: While connected to Rika through his ring, Yura can fully manifest Rika, use cursed techniques, and access her supply of cursed energy to replenish his own. Rika can also store a wide range of cursed tools and can equip them to Yura. Yura can maintain a sustained connection with Rika and remain in this state for five minutes at a time. Innate Technique Copy (模倣コピー Kopī?): Yura's innate technique allows him to copy the innate techniques of people who had their body parts consumed by Rika,[91] with stronger techniques requiring more vital body parts from their respective sorcerers.[92] While connected to Rika, Yura can utilize the copied innate techniques. she can even use multiple different techniques that he's copied in quick succession. Cursed Speech (呪じゅ言ごん Jugon?): Yura has replicated Toge's ability to use cursed speech, a technique usually inherited in the Inumaki Clan. When she first used it, Yura performed the technique using a megaphone summoned by Rika that had the Snake Eyes and Fangs symbol on it. By speaking through the megaphone, Yura commanded every single one of Geto's swarm of lower-grade curses to die at once. she noted having difficulty controlling the spread of cursed energy.[94] Yura has since become more proficient with cursed speech. While connected to Rika through the ring, Yura can even make the Snake Eyes and Fangs insignia appear on his mouth as if she was born with it. This allows him to activate the technique by speaking commands in the same manner that Toge does. Shikigami (式神しきがみ Shikigami?): Yura can summon shikigami using his hair as an intermediary. The shikigami appear as small bats with heads similar to Rika's. They fly around the opponent to form an involiable barrier with their orbital trajectory.If the target attempts to exit this barrier, they will be riddled with slashing attacks from the shikigami. Yura copied this technique from Dhruv Lakdawalla.[96] sky Manipulation: Yura has replicated Takako's ability to "control the sky". He can turn the sky into a tangible surface and use it to manipulate space, similar to how a lens creates distortion.[97] Thin Ice Breaker (宇守羅彈うすらび Usurabi?): Yura applies Takako's technique offensively by hitting the surface of the sky, not his opponent directly. she hits the surface layer of the sky and shatters it like thin ice, striking his opponent with that effect. Reverse Cursed Technique (反はん転てん術じゅつ式しき Hanten Jutsushiki?): When faced with the dire injuries of his friends, Yura was able to tap into the core of his cursed energy and unlock the ability to heal their injures with reverse cursed technique. He did so after less than a year's worth of experience in jujutsu. While most sorcerers can't use reverse cursed technique and much less can output it on others, Yura was able to learn to do both. Since first using it to heal his friends, Yura has become a highly proficient user of reverse cursed technique. Yura was able to apply it to Yuji at the same time she stopped his heart to prevent a permanent death. Shortly after, she healed Naoya of his injuries and removed Choso's poison, which takes a higher level reverse cursed technique. While fighting in the Culling Game, Yura used reverse cursed technique constantly to heal himself after getting hit by any big move. This helped him avoid long-term damage but severely drained his cursed energy. she also used it to exorcise Kurourushi, compromising the cursed spirit's body with a blast of positive energy. Domain Expansions Authentic Mutual Love (真しん贋がん相そう愛あい Shingan Sōai?): The domain is a field of cross-like structures littered with countless katanas and encircled by ropes tied together in a fashion symbolic of love. Yuta can wield any of the katanas and activate copied cursed techniques without any restrictions. A copied cursed technique also serves as the sure-hit effect of the domain.
