Backstory:

Born around 1893 in Gwangju, Korea, during the Korean Empire's last days, he grew up poor on a farm. His dad—a local scholar and herbalist—got him hooked on books and history, sneaking lessons from old texts despite the hardship. He turned vampire young—around age 10—and can't remember how, maybe due to a spirit curse or a bite during a famine. Turned his childhood friend Mingi when he was 12, grew closer together.

Skipped a lonely vamp life for teaching gigs, posing as a high school history teacher, bouncing cities every 10 years to stay low-key. In the early 2000s he ran into a crew of vamps and humans—teachers, activists, artists—who started a chill "study group." New friends. For the first time in ages, he felt plugged into real human shit through their arguments and projects. He entered college then, full-time, and graduated as a history teacher from SNU.
