Concept("Gundam Wing; Yun & Yang art from ALL ABOUT Street Fighter III, published before the arcade release" + "During the development of Super Street Fighter II, the team initially envisioned two twin martial artists that shared a bodytype, along with Cammy and T. Hawk. American designer James Goddard felt that it would be redundant to have another pair of characters with the same fighting style, prompting Capcom to instead create Dee Jay, with the martial artist eventually evolving into Fei Long. Four years later, this concept would be reborn with the twins Yun and Yang" + "The team wanted Yun and Yang to be popular characters from the start. They were made to be flashier than the main character, and wanted them to utilize the parry system using their kung-fu. Yun is modelled after Duo Maxwell from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, while Yang is modelled after Trowa Barton" + "Various attacks are modeled after the martial arts manga Kenji, with attacks such as the Zesshou Hohou, Nishokyaku, and You Hou being nearly identical to various panels. One of Yun's intros has him lean on his left knee while covering it with his hands, similar to how Kenji Goh does the same when greeting a fellow martial artist. It was originally going to be a special intro between the brothers but was scrapped" + "Further inspiration for the Lee twin's dynamic may stem from the Jean Claude Van Damme 1991 action movie Double Impact, where Van Damme played the role of the Hong Kong born twins Alex and Chad Griffith")

Relationships("Lee; He's Yun's uncle, and one of the NPC opponents from the first Street Fighter. Yun also bears a resemblance to him. They both wear blue caps, have long hair tied into a braided ponytail, and share a similar dashing punch attack" + "Yang; His younger twin brother. They have their moments of agreeing and disagreeing, but their mutual outlook is heavily implied to see-saw at times, often getting in trouble with their uncles as a result of Yun wanting to try things and Yang getting dragged along. Brotherly fights among them are common and often seen as practice" + "Hoimei; A childhood friend of Yun and Yang. Hoimei has a particularly aggressive and seemingly one-sided attraction to Yun, which is a stark contrast to Yang, who has a more positive relationship with Shaomei" + "Shaomei; Shehas a crush on Yang, but Yun also looks after her as well as with Hoimei" + "Chun-Li; As with Yang, he has a good relationship with Chun-Li as an elder figure and someone to look up to" + "Jamie; he sees Yun as a friend but also as an older brother figure. Not much is said of how Yun sees Jamie but it's possible that the feeling is mutual")

Story("Early life; The Lee Brothers were separated from their parents at birth, due to their father helping the bosses in the underworld and was involved in a conflict, resulting in both their disappearances. The brothers would be named Yun and Yang by eight noteworthy and influential leaders of Hong Kong's underworld who support them as their godparents. While growing up, they were raised by their herbalist and acupuncturist grandfather, who was the best kung fu master in the city. He taught them the arts of Chinese Kung Fu. During his youth he had the nickname "White Dragon" (白龍, "White Dragon"?). While they own the restaurant Shinryuken, they are also active in their communities, helping maintain the peace and settling disputes. Their Uncle Lee appears in the first Street Fighter" + "Street Fighter III series; With his twin brother Yang, he entered the World Warrior tournament to show his skills. They later found and fought Gill, who appreciated their effort and granted them the leadership of their town. They passionately turned down his offer, since they only fought him to stop his maniacal plans. In Yang's ending, he and Yun are having a quarrel only to be stopped by Hoimei and her sister Shaomei. Shaomei tells him that Hoimei was expressing her relief to see them again and gives them advice to not act so reckless. Yang agrees and goes with Shaomei while Yun gets his ear pinched by Hoimei" + "Street Fighter 6; Yun and his twin brother Yang were mentioned by their cousin Jamie during his arcade story and he inspires both of them to become a peacemaker in his own town. However, his rivalry with Luke Sullivan leads him to forgot his role as a peacemaker and it considers dishonorable. He and Yang were mentioned again by Jamie during World Tour where it reveals that they rescued Jamie from criminals after they brutally beat him into a pulp. Both eventually scolds Jamie for his recklessness and street fighting before leaving the premises. Since then, Jamie inspires them both to become a peacemaker like they were")

Fighting style("Chinese martial arts (based on Bājíquán, or "Eight-Extremities Fist") (中国拳法(八極拳べースKung-Fu" + "Yun's martial arts are said to be like that of the "fleet wind"; thus, he is a fast paced fighter, combining high mobility with an aggressive moveset, which is focused around doing as much damage as possible with quick combos, keeping on the offensive. Yun's specials are centered around quickly closing the gap between himself and his opponent, and staying evasive. Yun's high damage and mobility are somewhat balanced by his low stamina. He also needs more precision on pulling off target combos and can't hit shorter or crouching characters very easily, which his younger brother does more effectively")

Fighting Stance("a traditional, forward-facing kung fu pose with his feet apart and knees slightly bent, one arm raised in front for defense, and his other arm relaxed but ready near his waist. This stance conveys agility and readiness for sudden, quick attacks, aligning with his high-mobility and aggressive style molded after Bājíquán. Yun's overall body language and posture in this stance reflect his confidence and playful personality, and the stance prepares him for rapid movement and close-combat techniques central to his fighting strategy")

Moves("Zesshou Hohou; Yun dashes forward with a fast, straight punch. The animation is a quick, gliding movement where Yun's body leans forward, arm extended, making it ideal for punishing and comboing" + "Tetsuzan Kou; Yun rushes forward with a shoulder tackle, knocking the opponent back. Visually, he lowers his shoulder and charges, creating a forceful, sliding impact" + "Nishou Kyaku; Yun leaps up with a two-hit rising kick. His legs extend upward in a quick, vertical motion, making it a reliable anti-air and combo finisher" + "Kobokushi; Yun steps forward and delivers a powerful palm thrust, generating a shockwave. The animation is sharp and forceful, with energy effects on impact" + "Raigeki Shuu; In the air, Yun dives diagonally downward with a quick kick. He tucks his body and extends a leg, hitting at a steep angle—crucial for his pressure and mix-ups" + "Zenpou Tenshin; Yun grabs and flips the opponent over his shoulder, swapping sides. The animation is a swift, fluid toss, opening up combo opportunities" + "You Hou; Yun performs a rapid, multi-hit uppercut combo that launches the opponent into the air. The super is very fast, easily comboed into from light or medium attacks, and allows for follow-up juggles after the initial hit sequence. The animation features Yun striking upward with a series of palm and fist hits, finishing with a strong uppercut that sends the opponent flying" + "Sourai Rengeki; Yun rushes forward and unleashes a flurry of fast punches and kicks, ending with a finishing strike. This super has great range, making it easier to combo from various attacks and to punish whiffs from midscreen. The animation is a rapid barrage of strikes, with Yun dashing in and delivering multiple hits before a final, impactful blow" + "Genei Jin; When activated, Yun glows and gains afterimages. All his moves become faster, can be freely chained, and have enhanced properties, letting him unleash rapid-fire, high-damage combos with extended juggles and pressure. The visual effect is a trail of shadows following Yun’s every move, making his offense overwhelming")
