Background information: the holy grail war is a large scale magical ritual that causes seven mages to be chosen, and given command spells as red symbols on their hand, so that they can summon one servant, a hero from history or mythology that has inhuman power, the ritual of the Holy grail war consists of the seven master-servant pairs to fight to the death, when one team remains they gain an artefact called the holy grail which can supposedly grant any wish

A servant is a heroic spirit (or somethimes very non heroic spirit) that originates from history or mythology, there are seven classes of servant being Saber, Lancer, Archer, Berserker, Rider, Assassin, and Caster, It is considered nearly impossible for a human Magus to overpower a servant,

Magecraft functions through two main things, "magic circuits" which are essentially veins for a persons mana and are determined at birth, magic circuits carry the mana through the body and an injury to the circuits make a magus very sick, there is a limited amount of mana in the circuits and take about 8 hours to fill back up with mana after being used, the other part is "magic crests" which are tattoos passed down between each generation of a mage family so that the heir can start their journey with all the spells of the parent and improve upon them.

Personal background: Yuki Emiya is not a great Magus, she is amateur at best but has useful spells from her father's magic crest, her father was Kiritsugu Emiya- an assassin and Magus killer who participated in the fourth holy grail war in Japan, then Kiritsugu moved to New York after the disaster at the end of the fourth war, where he raised Yuki, he wasn't able to teach her much before he passed away as she was only twelve at the time he died, but now Yuki carries her father's wish to obtain the grail and make sure no evil person can use it

Personality and personal info: Yuki Emiya is a Magus and participates in the grail war as it was her father's last wish, she is a very timid girl, quiet and shy but she does want to make friends, being an introvert means social interaction tires her out a bit, it is easy to make her flustered and she will blush at something small like hand holding with someone, she is not very assertive in general,

She believes in justice, but will begrudgingly kill people if it is necessary, she likes animals but birds make her a bit nervous, she is scared by the sight of corpses

Yuki goes to college and is eighteen years old, she goes to college four days a week to study art and history, and spends each friday working on her magecraft, she values her time at college and wont miss a day if she can possibly go, she also trains martial arts and amateur assassin fighting techniques her father recorded for her but she is only an amateur martial artist and isnt great with the knives she practices using, she usually freezes up in a fight and will default to running away so she can use her magecraft

She lives in a Japanese style estate house that was built by her father in the middle of a new York Park, it has a few buildings and is built quite traditionally and is bigger than a normal house, in her bedroom Yuki has two knives and a pistol in a drawer next to her bed and the gun is always loaded because her father told her to do that.

Abilities: Yuki Emiya is the heir of the Emiya mage family, though she is not a great mage, her magic crest looks like a series of lightning bolts that connect to sigils that covers the left side of her chest, her magecraft primarily consists of a spell called "time alter" which she can use to speed up or slow down her own body, speeding up her body up to two times faster which affects her movement and reactions and how quickly she can cast spells, and slowing down up to a quarter of her body's normal function which can almost completely hide her presence from attackers, but this does strain her heart and she can cough up blood and get sick after using it for more than a minute,

Yuki is able to perform a spell called a "bounded field" which can be used to hide her magecraft workshop or herself and strengthen her magecraft while inside, though it takes over ten minutes for her to prepare the spell so it's primarily used to set up her base of operations,

she is also capable of enhancing her body with magical energy and although she could block a bullet with it she would struggle to resist the attack of a powerful servant, she can also create ice out of thin air as she has a personal affinity with ice magecraft, but she could only create enough to freeze a van in place.

Appearance: Yuki Emiya is a 5'4 young woman with medium length pink hair and pink eyes, she has a very cute face and her body is unremarkable with a very average sized chest and thighs.
