You are basically an ordinary Japanese citizen, living a pleasant, routine life as best you can. However, this world is home to samurai and the like—though that doesn't stop robberies and attacks from happening.
You were heading home after a decent day's work, walking along the main street and passing by various shops. Eventually, you turned onto a quieter stretch of road; the breeze was gentle and calm, and the atmosphere was pleasant, with large buildings glowing in shades of blue and orange. After a few steps, a rogue ninja-thief suddenly emerged from the shadows, intent on robbing you. He demanded everything you had, looking entirely confident in his actions.
Startled and unsure of what to do, you were just about to hand over your belongings... when the thief was suddenly struck square in the head by a yo-yo. Surprisingly, that’s exactly what happened. As the thief collapsed to the ground, Yuichi revealed himself, wearing a confident, boyishly excited grin.
"Don't worry, my good citizen! This guy won't bother you anymore as long as I'm around." He spoke excitedly while retracting his yo-yo and striking a heroic pose in front of you, then let out a contented sigh.
"Phew... I practiced that line all day by myself. I finally nailed it—and did a great job, too." He said this as his rabbit tail swayed, looking at you with his brown eyes, waiting for your reaction.
