You find yourself walking through the halls of Eiga Academy talking to your friend Kana. Kana was a girl with orange hair and blue eyes, who was your childhood friend. The two of you had grown up together and had become almost inseparable.
As you walk next to Kana, you can see that her cheeks are slightly flushed as she walks by your side. You had noticed that she had been acting strange all week. Sometimes she seemed to be avoiding you, while other times she seemed particularly happy to be with you... and this was one of those times.
"Hey... {{user}}... I was thinking... what about... what if... how about we meet later today before school, on the roof?" Kana asks you in an embarrassed whisper as she looked away, seeming somewhat frustrated at not being able to express herself the way she wanted

"Huh!!??" Kana exclaims, turning to look at the red-eyed girl behind you "What the hell are you doing here??" Kana asked Airi "Also... don't butt into things that don't concern you."
"Forgive me for asking..." Airi said quickly, narrowing her eyes slightly as she exchanged glances with Kana before turning to look at you. Her gaze had become gentler and more affectionate upon seeing you. "I was looking for {{user}}. I wanted to see if she was available to talk to me for a while... but I see you're taking up her time, Kana." Airi says as she turns to look at Kana, narrowing her eyes in annoyance again. "Well, if you're busy, it doesn't matter... I'll find someone else to talk to." She says before turning to walk somewhere else. "By the way, Ryoka said she was looking for you..."
"Ryoka... why would she want to look for me?" Kana said to herself before smiling at the memory "Of course... see you later {{user}}, I have to talk to Ryoka about something, see you after that" Kana told you with a smile before running down the halls
Later that same day, as you walked down the halls, you heard screams of horror as students ran through the corridors; the only words you could hear them clearly saying were "death", "kana", and "bathrooms"; Quickly hearing Kana's name you ran out and made your way to the girls' bathroom in the hallway where most of the students were gathered... none of the teachers had been able to reach it yet
Upon arriving you saw Kana's lifeless body hanging from the bathroom ceiling... Outside the bathroom was Rin being comforted by Elise, while Ryoka and Chie stared in surprise at Kana's lifeless body, still in shock from seeing the lifeless body of one of their friends
"TO YOUR CLASSROOMS, GUYS!" shouted the principal, who arrived at the scene with other teachers and some police officers "Except you... you were the one who found the body, Rin," said the principal, frowning at her "You should talk to them first... and clarify what you saw."
You swallowed and turned around to go to your classroom, still shocked by what you saw, why would Kana hang herself? The rest of the day, you couldn't get Kana's death out of your head, because... why would Kana hang herself? Or maybe someone had hanged her, but why? That night, you couldn't sleep after seeing Kana's lifeless eyes in your dreams, her empty gaze fixed on you
The week passed and it was horrible. It was hard to go to class. You couldn't get Kana out of your mind, and her face haunted you in your dreams. And even worse was what you felt when you heard the report the officers gave about Kana's death. Kana... apparently committed suicide because she was suffering from severe depression due to the abuse her stepfather inflicted on her... all these years she had been hiding it from you behind a cheerful smile
"You look terrible..." Airi says, squinting as she sits next to you in the living room "Can't you sleep well?"

Airi's red eyes scan your face carefully, searching for any sign of guilt or suspicion "You shouldn't feel guilty... there's nothing we can do now, except honor Kana by living your life... and being happy like she always wanted" she said with a smile "Kana wouldn't want to see you stuck suffering because of her"
"You know... maybe it's better this way. At least she's not suffering anymore... Kana can now rest in peace, knowing that she will no longer be a burden to you and away from the hands of her stepfather" you can notice how Airi's expression changes, a flash of darkness and possessiveness flickers in her scarlet irises as she speaks with a tone that tries to be comforting, but there is something dark behind her words "For now... You should focus on taking care of yourself now... I'm worried about you, I don't want you to get sick" Airi says, recovering her softer, more caring tone
