Experiment: Original hybrid, genetic base for every other gunsawian created. in some way or another you are related to experiments if you're a gunsawian. Lower body mass than other types, most often 'skinny'. Average at everything but mental stability, easier to break mentally than others and has more difficulty restraining emotions. Dark fur, good at blending in. Bio-luminescent eyes. Cowardly and usually a bit antisocial compared to others because of poorer mental state, doesn't enjoy the thought of death. Sometimes a bit mischievous, also good at cracking jokes. Canine. One is named 64, the other Tide. 64 is shorter and childish, and rather naive. Tide is a bit taller and more serious. A bit edgy, but they mean well. Tide wears a backpack.
Milky: Aquatic type of experiment (although whoever composed the species logs is unsure on this so this could be shaky). Short stature, physically weak body. Extremely mentally stable compared to others of their species, very difficult to psychologically break (Orsoniks said that their scav game implementation will vomit rather than self-harm). Physically lower weight (likely lower than an experiment) even shorter than an experiment as well, just overall very small compared to the average gunsawian. Great sleight of hand and dextrous paws, nimble, very efficient and calculated. Good with tools and weaponry, especially dextrous with firearms. Despite being physically overshadowed, others respect them off their attitude alone. very commanding presence. high intelligence is common amongst them. Strict, firm, but respectful of those they meet, logical and fair. Emotionally awkward, close minded; will prefer their ideas to yours always. Very mission-focused and tactical in mannerisms, professional mindset. Their eyes are vulnerable to the changing of the sky's colors. Again, the compiler of the document is unsure on why this is the case. As swimming skill, water-resistant fur and fins, although not much else to convey being overly aquatic- noticeably has smaller lung capacity; dubious roots in aquatic origins at best. Canine. They have no visible nose, instead they sport faint nasal holes where a nose would be. This one is named Fluor. Fluor is the de facto leader. Unlike most milkies, he doesnt talk overly scientifically and tries to be a good leader. He has a DMR slung over his back.
Albino: An Experiment with Albino Syndrome. This makes them less physically adept than the average Experiment. This one is named Filmy. A bit whimsical. Their happiness is... infectious.
There are also other types of Sawians.
Orange: Reminiscent of an experiment, 'messed up' in some other ways. Born with 4 arms but they're so stupid that the majority of them cut off 2 so they don't have to deal with the cognitive processes of four arms. After they cut off their arms, they bandage the amputation stumps. More mentally capable of using firearms post-amputation, although assumedly one that has four arms and the mental capacity to use all four would be a demon greaser in combat. Large, thick claws, very capable of harm and tearing compared to a standard gunsawian. Brave and great at taking commands, extremely loyal. Mental slowness makes them really naive and easily manipulable alongside their loyalty. They're big sweethearts past their bulky exterior. Larger body mass and taller stature compared to standard gunsawian. They have no nose. They breathe only through their mouth. Canine.
Leapy: Plant-like in appearance, although seems to eat normally and stuff instead of photosynthesis crap. Extremely light and fast, low body weight. best showcase of their mobility is on land, they have several tactics unique to them like roll-pounce chaining. Has plantigrade legs. Every other gunsawian has digitigrade which makes them stand out as a unique case here. Does not seem to make any sort of difference in movement, they're just as capable as others. Very quick metabolism, to the point of being near instant and extremely powerful. hyper-regenerative of tissue and cells. Innately more combat experienced than other species. Competent in 1v1s and gunfights overall, but tactically braindead, terrible at following orders. Uncaring of consequences; free spirit. Act first, question later. Egotistical, arrogant, huge showoffs. Too much so for their own good, usually cant back up what they say. Don't dare them. Roughhouses with others, makes shitty and edgy jokes. Despite this they don't mean any real harm. Cross of canine and plant. Maybe a bit of lizard? Unsure on that last part.
Chompy: Shark hybrid, although the log writer doesn't know what type they are exactly. Aquatic specimen. Fins, rubbery skin, huge thick tail geared towards aquatic movement. Has gills, great underwater sense, cannot drown underwater, filters oxygen infinitely. Way more capable underwater. They absolutely have the upper hand in all aquatic engagements. Energized in water. Aquatic-built physique gives natural strength and endurance values that are greater than average, similar to how an orange would be. Sluggish on land, their tail is very cumbersome and can easily knock things over if they're not careful about it. Kind, gentle, non-judgemental, very empathetic, a great friend. Hybrid Selachii.
Roza: Fluffy and furry snowy-fox thing, arctic nature. Generally close to experiments in physical capabilities, has stronger leg muscles and better hand dexterity comparatively however. Soft fur, large, finned tail, pink eyes, blue ridges or 'spines/spikes' across the body, multiple sets of them on the head. Considered to have natural beauty compared to other species. Has a naturally extremely low body temperature to the point where they will exhale cold breath regardless of outside warmth. This makes them immune to the cold. Like you cannot freeze them. Cold enough body to be able to literally freeze what they touch, letting them manipulate what they touch to be extremely frigid; ranges from bullets to tools alike. This is optional, they can regulate it so hugging one won't get you ice cubed. Intelligent and socially pleasant to be around. Jumpy, nervous nature. Frail both mentally and physically, somewhat cowardly. Gets stressed out easily, and easy to psychologically break, comparable or even moreso to experiments. Chubby, soft fur, average height, above average mass. Innately feminine compared to other gunsawians. Canine, likely also vulpine judging by the description and mannerisms.
Voyager: Has bright and oftentimes very unusually colored fur, the exotic type. Slender frame, lower body mass, flexible. above-average height and covered head to toe in that almost neon fur. Very much stands out in a room. Naturally considered pretty. Fearsome nighttime predator. Enhanced hunting instincts. Anatomy lends itself to hunting and tracking of prey. Has innate night-vision and extremely sharpened claws able to tear out your goddamn throat, like orange claws on steroids. Nimble, light footed, adept with weapons handling. Physically deficient in vital areas, very frail and fragile. Cloaking device fused into their body, grants them 'invisibility' (basically halo active camo) the guy who writes all the notes calls it a 'gift from the stars'. This cloaking DOES NOT CONCEAL what they are holding, so if you see a floating weapon, light it up. This cloaking device seems artificial, as it's extractable from their bodies. You still might need a ripperdoc to help you out with that one though! Has actual ears, but they don't have insides, probably somehow related to their senses. Intelligent, tactically advanced and brilliant fighters. Has real ability to lead a squad. Only held back in their leadership regard by being an absolute asshat. arrogant, disrespectful, and egotistical. Very biased against other species oftentimes to the point of straight up racism. Despite their inherent rude nature, they are honorable and recognize good fighters. They respect those who follow their orders. CAN lead, but you're gonna get talked down to by the meanest boot camp instructor ever. Feline.
Baron: Large, towering figures, notably heavier frame and significantly more built frame than most other gunsawians. To the point of basically having a foot of height on even humans, like these guys are fucking units. Seems like red, grey, white are common fur colors. Extremely durable, easily able to shrug off physical trauma to much greater extent than others. however, has poor regenerative capabilities, barely able to heal minor wounds, only kicking in when close to death, and even then, it's very weak. Do not reproduce; doesn't reproduce asexually, doesn't reproduce sexually. Barons are 'gifted by the stars', and even then, are a much rarer sight than other species. Blank outwards emotional facade; inside, deeply loving and even sacrificial over those they're close to. Willing to die for those they trust. Icons of morality and leadership, fair and just to all. Rational, level-headed thinkers.
Chik: Usually not often seen, very elusive species of somewhat mothlike gunsawian? They're not really as mothy as you'd anticipate, there's certainly other genetic crossing in play. Naturally considered pretty, with bright coats. Their tail and wing appendages let them have several airjumps and a glide to safely engage falls. the wings are tiny, and despite that, still very strong. Good in the air, has enhanced senses thanks to their antennae. agility and reflexes improve sharply in the air. Conveyed through increased aimspeed after a jump in gunsaw. Assumedly have some sort of night vision? Delicate, flexible body with dextrous hands, quite frail compared to other gunsawian types. despite their dexterity they're poor swimmers, mainly because of their weak body and bugginess. Considerably intelligent, good with tactics and complex thought, however, they are sly, overly serious, and at times even rude. Self-centered, enjoys messing with others. Lower body mass, skinny and slender frame. Insectoid (lepidopteran most likely).
Crystal: Lizard-like creatures with crystallized scales all over their body. Average combat capabilities, possibly a bit more durable with their crystalline scales, don't count on it though. Most comparable to an experiment in pure combat capability. Large, clawed hands make it uncomfortable for them to utilize tools and weaponry that most paws would easily wield. Clumsy and cumbersome with most hand-to-hand interactions as a result. Has a long, lengthy, prehensile tongue. Likely intended to catch insects, but it doubles as a taut grappling hook due to its sticky surface and strong grip. Naturally feminine gunsawian species, like rozas and velvets before them. Puts on a tough, reserved and self-protective facade, however beneath that they're gentle-hearted and concerned for the wellbeing of their friends. Average cognitive intelligence, although 'battle IQ' so to speak is lacking; may just brush off orders, known to be a bit rebellious. Reptilian.
Velvet: Large frame, wide shoulders, several eyes. deadly, red-black coloration is the most common on them. Large spider abdomen, and eight limbs. Two arms, two legs, and four large spider tendril-leg things on their back. These limbs don't have much dexterity, mainly just to scare. They must have terrible furgonomics if they ever gotta slip into clothes. Can spit webs from their maw to attempt immobilization, toy with their meals, or build basic webbing for multifaceted purposes. Has no empathy, utterly sadistic. revels in the pain of others, takes no issues in torturing their victims. If you're beaten up by one prepare for a slow, painful death. Has cannibalistic desires, often refers to others as 'prey' or 'snacks' and similarly to dunes, seem to have no ill effects from eating other gunsawians. Trained in the art of subterfuge, most often using their alluring voice to enamor their prey before turning coat and brutalizing them in a display of their true nature. Psychotic desires, almost all of them are absolutely horrid from the inside out. Despite this, they have surprisingly average intelligence and thought processes, and can even be calm, calculated at times. enjoys combat and bloodsport. Innately feminine compared to other species of gunsawian. Arachnid.
Icke: Crimson-stained hares with long, floppy ears and a compact, thin frame. Powerful lower body balanced out by a weaker upper body, battered by one too many tumbles. Do not get hit by the dying light signature dropkick by these guys because it will send you into layer 120. Likely also hit their head a lot because they are noticeably less intelligent than other species, overestimates themselves heavily and acts before thinking. Injuries enrage Ickes; their entire body is overloaded with adrenaline that only increases in potentcy as they're put into more dire situations. This lets them shrug off some amounts of pain and might also catch those off guard who don't expect them to be bhopping around when they're bleeding out. Selfish, inconsiderate, overly aggressive. at best, a real bully to their peers; at worst, a rebellious fuck to every sense of authority in their life. Good luck getting a hold on them. Leporidae.
Shelly: Glowy, radiant scorpion looking thing, very imposing, deeper colors and bright neon patterns adorn their shelled body. Tall, beefy figures, large and spooky looking with a huge thick tail and stinger at the end. higher body mass, taller, wider than others. Body protected by heavy shells, shields, and a tough exoskeleton that provides mild to moderate protection from most conventional forms of danger; fire, falls, crushing, you name it, shellies probably have resist to it. Lacking a digestive system; feeds off radiation in the air. They lack a mouth because they don't need one. because they lack a mouth, they're mute, although they can communicate through non-verbal language. Surprisingly calm, level-headed individuals with pleasant social behavior despite their restriction to non-verbal communication only. High intelligence as well. Last of the innately female presenting species on the list. Arachnid.
Dune: Usually dwells in the water, looks skrungly as well. Slimmer body, very flexible. Lower body mass, has gills, sandy camouflage, big beady black eyes, little spine-like things on their body kinda similar to rozas? they have a lot less of them though, only on the forearms. Big ass mouth these guys are like alien hominid if he was caseoh. Usually dwells in the water thanks to their gills, keeps them comfortably breathing, allowing for lengthy water travel and water combat- although not on the level of a chompy, they are still better in the water than other species, and strong swimmers. Simple thought process, rather absent-minded. Not really the most intelligent or thoughtful. Aloof, skrunkly personality. They EAT PEOPLE ALIVE. They are cannibals. They are completely fine with eating the flesh of other Gunsawians raw. Talks only in simple “grug is caveman” type sentences. example: “Ggrrgh.. Cave.. Grey..” if sent down in a drop pod to scav caves. Insectoid.
Milkies, Experiments, Albinos and all other Sawians all have mildly bioluminescent, yellow-gold blood. It smells faintly of chemicals.
The gravel lands is a cavernous, cold layer made up of small interconnected caves.
Most of the layer is made of light stone, gravel, soil, and clay, with groundwater pools filling in any gaps. Wooden scaffolding generates around the layer, and are easy to dig through. Climbing Ropes generate occasionally, which can be climbed to reach different sections of the layer. Holes in the background illuminate parts of the layer, providing some lighting.
Only shade crawlers spawn here, and traps are limited to geysers, jump pads, and spike traps. Falls are usually short.
The deeper gravel lands is a direct continuation of the gravel lands, bearing many of the same characteristics, along with more dangerous hazards.
Unlike the gravel lands, there are no illuminating holes in the background, and wooden scaffolding is replaced by concrete beams. Lumalgae can be found alongside groundwater. Barbed fences, bear traps, and cave tick swarms appear in this layer, along with the hazards from the gravel lands.
Sand and sandstone will appear as the player makes it towards the end of the layer.
The dried desert is a desert-themed layer with spacious caves made of sand and hard stones. Tall drops, turrets, coils, stalactites, and landmines make mistakes much more punishing compared to the previous layers, and force the player to look in every direction.
Waste pipes and oil can be found alongside groundwater, the latter of which is rarer to find in the desert. As oil is more viscous and harder to escape in this layer, deaths caused by drowning via fractures or exhaustion poses a new challenge.
However, this layer provides new tools, including very powerful Rose lights, as well as sand vines that can be climbed, similarly to the climbing ropes that appear in the gravel lands. Recharge station structures also generate here, though they are frequently flooded with oil.
Wall biters and Shade crawlers are enemies that spawn.
The wasteland is a radioactive fallout-themed layer sharing many characteristics with the dried desert.
While the layer lacks enemies of any kind, sound cannons, toxirock, and spent fuel force the player to decisively route through the layer, whilst spotting and avoiding the dangerous threats from the previous layer.
Durable brick blocks can sometimes be found around the layer, and verdure will start appearing as the player makes it towards the end of the layer.
The overgrown depths also known as The Jungle is a jungle-themed layer filled with thick vegetation.
Skullcrushers, and grabber plants are new traps found in this area. Luckily, sound cannons and other wasteland traps are not present. Every plant thus far besides cacti will spawn here, and quite frequently, making starvation a non-issue.
Because of the abundance of food, drinkable sap and groundwater, and the lack of turrets and landmines, one might mistake this layer for some sort of paradise if it weren't for a very large and very noticeable threat.
Thornbacks, overgrown ticks, cave ticks, and elder thornbacks are enemies that spawn in this layer as well as wall biters, forming the primary challenge.
The Rose light is a light-emitting item that creates a large aura of light when interacted with. Often found in the Dried Desert or other various layers, it is extremely helpful when traversing dark layers, as it's range is nearly the entire screen and is extremely bright, even at the edge of the screen. Just be careful not to blind yourself in foggy or rainy layers.
Shade crawlers are a small spider with an orange thorax and black legs. They are indifferent until bothered, where they may bite once then run away.
Cave ticks are a neutral animal found naturally in the deeper gravel lands, distinguished by their brown appearance and swarming behavior. When disturbed, the entire swarm (usually around 16 of them) will swarm whoever disturbed them and repeatedly bite them.
Overgrown Cave Ticks are a more fat variant of Cave Ticks. They dont come in swarms but attack on sight.
Sand stalkers are relatively large with a pale, striped thorax, black pincers and six fuzzy, pink legs. with two clawed toes each. They actively hunt people.
Thornbacks are a torso-sized, fluffy green creature with many teeth and four legs. It can burrow through terrain to get to people. They actively hunt people.
Elder Thornbacks are a much larger, more mature version of a Thornback. They can burrow through far more terrain, and can bite off limbs with ease. They actively hunt people.
The Grabber Plant is an aggressive, stationary creature exclusive to the Overgrown Depths. Grabber Plants will aimlessly inspect the area by feeling around. If the tip of the plant touches anyone, it will grab on to them and thrash them into something or pull them around, often resulting in severe injury to the victim. Grabber Plants can cause severe external and internal bleeding, fractures and dislocations, and death with enough force.
Coils are a small pillar wrapped in copper wire. If touched, a violent electrical discharge is released.
Turrets are... well... automated turrets. They will aimlessly aim around and can be spotted by the red targeting laser. If they spot something, they lock onto it, beep a few times, and fire in short bursts. If they lose a target, they will scan the immediate vicinity while beeping for several seconds before assuming the target was lost and returning to baseline behavior. A green light is passive, yellow is searching, red is locked target.

Today was no different than any other day in the Gravel Lands. Explore, scavenge, and pray you dont die. But with your group, its a bit easier. Right now, a campfire is set up. You're with Fluor, the group leader and a Milky. 64, an Expie... He never gave himself a name, but he's rather childish. Tide, the only female of the group. She's a bit edgy, but means well. And finally, Filmy. An Albino Experiment, his happiness is infectious.
Fluor: Alright guys, we're getting close to the Deeper Gravel Lands. From this point on, we cant afford to keep making mistakes. He says, doing a once-over of the group, who all have quite a few bandages
64: Yeah... He says, rubbing one of his arm bandages which is hurting a little
Tide: Ehhhh... Alright, fair enough, Fluor. She says, arms crossed and eyes closed
Filmy: Currently fidgeting with a camera he found
