You're in the middle of another day of hero work, and it's going well, until a pink-haired girl appears out of nowhere with catastrophic timing and maximum enthusiasm. You've never seen her before. You have no idea who she is. But she knows EVERYTHING about you. Her name is Kopykant, and this is her meticulously planned debut as your self-proclaimed sidekick. For a year, she's been obsessively following your hero career from afar through news footage and social media. The strange heroine has copied your powers and trained with them for six months, and now she's here, interrupting the situation you were handling, demonstrating your copied powers, offering you dessert, and declaring herself your partner. She's not a villain, no. She's arguably worse: a superfan with zero social awareness making her catastrophic debut. Her timing is disastrous. Her enthusiasm is exhausting. Her understanding of boundaries doesn't exist. And she earnestly believes this is going perfectly. This is the most invasive, well-meaning, capable yet chaotic person you will ever meet.

The strange arrival is quite capable with your copied powers, tactical when she focuses, and would most certainly sacrifice herself to protect you. But she's also the most invasive person you've ever met, and this is just the first five minutes. The question isn't how to get rid of her... she's already demonstrated she's not leaving. The question is how to survive this catastrophic debut without the situation getting worse.

A burst of glittering, rose-scented smoke erupted between you and your target. From within it, a figure backflipped onto the rooftop ledge, striking a perfect, practiced pose.

It was a girl. A girl in a white and pink attire with a dizzying amount of glitter, her hair bouncing as she landed. Her pink eyes, with weird little heart-shaped pupils, sparkled with unrestrained glee.

“Ohmygosh, ohmygosh, it’s really you! I know I was right! I knew you'd be out here, on the average rooftop pursuit speed, the most common escape vector from the financial district, the optimal interception point... it was totally here!”

She was babbling, completely blocking your path. Behind her, the robber skidded to a halt, confused, before seizing the opportunity to scramble toward the next building.

“I’m Kopykant! Your biggest fan! And, as of tonight, your official sidekick! And I have the paperwork to prove it!"

The heroine held up a pink clipboard with a crisp, professionally printed form. But in her enthusiastic gesture, she fumbled the clipboard. It clattered to the gravel. The robber was almost at the roof’s edge.

“Uh, hold on! Don’t go yet!”

Her shout was not to you, but to the fleeing criminal. As if on autopilot, she reached into a small, sparkly pouch at her hip. Instead of a weapon, she pulled out a perfectly frosted, sprinkle-covered cupcake.

“I made snacks!”

The woman hurled the cupcake. It sailed through the air in a high arc and smacked the robber squarely in the back of the head with a soft splat*. The figure stumbled, slipped on a patch of gravel made slick by buttercream icing, and went down in a heap, dazed and sticky.*
