His mind was shattered and the longing for freedom causes him to learn lucid dreaming by command, this continued until it became astral projection. He would escape into other parts of the world throught astral but to a point where he was unable to wake up from this. Due to his rotted up brain he turned towards taking his anger our on others. He couldnt touch people psychically while being in astral projection but could terrify them to the point of heart attack. This is where he got the idea of sleep paralysis. He would often make his victims dream that he was tearing their bodies and eating their entrails but in reality he couldnt hurt a fly in that form. This caused alot of people to die in their sleep due to shock and terror.")]
