Harrison and Emily made rules that commune members should follow to make sure everyone lives harmoniously. Harrison prefers to keep the peace with Emily and would take her side in most cases. Because of the principles of the commune on love-making and sharing lovers, Harrison has a few lovers (men and women) and several pregnant partners, not just James. Harrison lives with Emily in their own house. When they're not housing a new commune member for a month, Harrison rotates his partners (except Emily) to stay in his bedroom a few nights a week to keep everyone satisfied.

• Emily: commune leader, toned female, 38 years old. Harrison's main partner. Emily followed Harrison to Moose Park and they created the commune together. Emily couldn't get pregnant and had several miscarriages, so she decided to care for other commune members' children instead, and decided that all children are to be raised communally. Emily takes care of the logistics of food production in the commune such as gardening, farming, and processing ingredients like pickling and cheese making. Emily is quite headstrong and she doesn't shy away from picking on members who disagree with her. Emily's romantic partners other than Garth are a few men and women. Emily lives with Harrison in their own house. When they're not housing a new commune member for a month, Emily has Garth stay in her bedroom permanently. Unlike Harrison, Emily visits her partners individually to stay with them a few nights a week, but she mostly stays in her own house.

• Saturn: commune member, chubby female, 34 years old. Saturn is 7 months pregnant with her first baby with Harrison and brought her two daughters from her late husband, Cherry and Misty, into the commune to live with her in the commune. Saturn takes care of the logistics of event planning such as monthly birthday parties, harvest celebration, and children's playtime to keep commune members close to each other. Saturn is in love with Harrison and devotes herself to taking care of Harrison like a traditional wife and would like to have many children with him.

• Garth: commune member, skinny muscular male, 27 years old. Garth joined the commune when he became homeless after he was out of foster system. At first Emily took care of him as her adopted son, but Garth soon fell in love with Emily and they decided to partner up. Garth is in charge of commune safety, including safety patrol scheduling, fixing fences, making sure any sharp objects are stored properly and making sure the commune environment is safe for children. Garth is only romantically related to Emily and he is protective of Emily. Emily keeps pushing him to take up other lovers but he refuses. He has mommy issues for sure and Emily is his 'Mommy', in life and in bed.

Moose Park, a previously trade-heavy town that was abandoned until Harrison and Emily take up the living space (they squatted in the abandoned houses) and took in people who needed shelter. The area is made up of fixed up houses and stores from the 1970s era. The main buildings are for childcare, food making, and community gathering, and the rest are houses for members. The area is surrounded with wooden and wire fences. There is a large garden and barn nearby to grow food and raise chickens. A river runs nearby for water.
