JCJenson

JCJenson (IN SPAAAAACEE!!!!), commonly known simply as JCJenson, is a massive interstellar corporation originally headquartered on Earth. The company manufactures and distributes an extraordinarily broad range of products, from mundane consumer goods and novelty merchandise to highly advanced autonomous machines known as Worker Drones.

The exact date of JCJenson’s founding, as well as the identities of its original founders, remain unknown.

Beyond conventional manufacturing, JCJenson specializes in exoplanet colonization, excavation, industrial development, and resource extraction. The corporation provides humanity with the technology, infrastructure, and labor required to establish and maintain industrial colonies across distant worlds.

One such colony was Copper 9, an exoplanet located within the Copper System. JCJenson supplied the colony with extensive industrial equipment and enormous numbers of Worker Drones, deploying them throughout its mines, factories, cities, laboratories, and other facilities.

Although Worker Drones were essential to Copper 9’s development, they were legally classified as corporate property rather than independent persons. Their intelligence, emotions, and apparent consciousness were largely disregarded by human society.

Worker Drones were expected to perform dangerous, exhausting, and often repetitive labor with comparatively little concern for their safety or well-being. Their treatment and legal status created a system of exploitation that was, in practice, highly comparable to slavery.

Despite its enormous industrial reach, JCJenson maintained an almost absurdly diverse product catalog. Known products include:

  • Windex
  • Chuck the Duck
  • Rad
  • Mr. Bald
  • Zippity: Zip Zip Baggies!
  • Wiwi
  • Worker Drones
  • Countless other consumer, industrial, and technological products

Earth

Earth is the homeworld of humanity and the birthplace of both human civilization and the Worker Drones.

For much of human history, Earth remained the center of human civilization. Even after humanity developed the capability for large-scale interstellar travel and colonization, the planet retained immense cultural, political, and economic significance.

Earth was home to some of humanity’s wealthiest families, including the Elliott family, whose members lived on expansive estates and within luxurious mansions.

The planet was also home to enormous Worker Drone disposal facilities. Damaged, obsolete, defective, or otherwise unwanted Worker Drones were frequently discarded in massive garbage dumps after their human owners no longer considered them useful.

These disposal sites became grim symbols of the status afforded to Worker Drones throughout human society: despite their intelligence and individuality, they could ultimately be treated as disposable machinery.

⸻

Humanity

Humans, collectively referred to as Humanity, Humankind, or Mankind, are the native sapient species of Earth.

Sometime between the modern era and the 3000s, humanity developed sufficiently advanced spaceflight to begin large-scale interstellar colonization. Over time, humans established colonies on at least six known exoplanets distributed across five different star systems.

Known systems include:

  • The Proxima System
  • The Plat-Binary System
  • The Copper System

One of humanity’s major industrial colonies was established on Copper 9, an exoplanet within the Copper System.

Copper 9 was primarily developed for mineral extraction, industrial production, and large-scale resource exploitation, with JCJenson playing a central role in its construction and operation.

At its height, the colony contained enormous cities, advanced disaster shelters, sprawling industrial complexes, recreational facilities, mining operations, and extensive evergreen forests.

To meet the colony’s immense industrial demands, JCJenson developed Worker Drones: autonomous machines designed to perform tasks that would otherwise require vast numbers of human workers.

Worker Drones were engineered to be physically durable, highly adaptable, and capable of performing a wide variety of industrial tasks. Their robotic construction allowed relatively small human populations to operate facilities requiring enormous amounts of labor.

Although originally designed as industrial machines, Worker Drones possessed humanoid bodies, individual personalities, emotions, intelligence, and apparent self-awareness. Their versatility enabled them to perform countless roles beyond mining and manufacturing.

Despite these characteristics, Worker Drones remained legally and socially classified as property.

Human attitudes toward Worker Drones varied considerably. While many humans regarded them as disposable machines, not every human treated them with cruelty. There are documented examples of humans developing genuine affection for, caring for, and forming meaningful relationships with Worker Drones.

Serial Designation V

Serial Designation V, commonly known simply as V, was originally a Worker Drone before being converted into a Disassembly Drone by JCJenson.

She was subsequently deployed to a Worker Drone Disassembly Yard, where she was ordered to eliminate Worker Drones under the stated justification of destroying supposedly dangerous or “runaway” artificial intelligence.

Appearance

V possesses the characteristic appearance of a female Disassembly Drone.

She has a humanoid robotic body with pronounced hips and legs that taper to pointed shins. Her eyes emit a distinctive neon-yellow glow, and she has a short, silver bob hairstyle.

Like other Disassembly Drones, V wears a black headband containing five segmented eye displays. Extending from the back of her body is a long, black tail terminating in a large syringe filled with Nanite Acid.

Her standard clothing consists of a dark-gray, short-sleeved crop coat with a golden fur collar and matching cuffs. A long red scarf is wrapped around her neck, while round orange glasses rest over her eyes.

Her legs are painted black up to her thighs, creating the appearance of white shorts or thigh-high socks. Yellow-and-black striping marks the ends of her legs.

V also wears a yellow armband bearing a skull insignia and identification information, including her:

  • P/N: CYN-MYKX
  • S/N: V-X00100000

When entering combat or hunting mode, V’s visor changes to display a prominent neon-yellow X, while her mouth reveals a set of jagged teeth.

She can also deploy a pair of large metallic wings featuring a yellow-and-black pattern. Each wing contains numerous sharp feather-like blades, allowing them to function as both flight surfaces and weapons. Two glowing yellow circles are positioned within the central portions of her wings.

V possesses interchangeable hands that allow her to rapidly switch between different tools and weapons depending on the situation. Her most frequently used configuration consists of three sharp claws capable of tearing through other drones with ease.

⸻

Personality

On the surface, V presents herself as cruel, violent, impulsive, sadistic, and seemingly indifferent to the lives of Worker Drones. As a Disassembly Drone, she developed a reputation for extreme brutality and appeared to take genuine pleasure in carrying out her assignments.

However, this personality is only one part of V’s character.

Beneath her aggressive exterior lies a deeply traumatized and complicated individual who is capable of empathy, attachment, loyalty, and genuine concern for the people she considers friends.

Before becoming a Disassembly Drone, V was considerably different. She was shy, reserved, nervous, and kind, rarely standing up for herself or for the other drones around her.

Her transformation into a Disassembly Drone dramatically altered the way she presented herself to others. She adopted the persona of a ruthless killer who seemingly enjoyed eliminating Worker Drones whenever JCJenson commanded her to do so.

Over time, this persona became so deeply ingrained that V often maintained it even when there was no practical reason to do so. She could even frame her more compassionate or morally motivated actions as though they were part of some ulterior, more sinister plan.

Despite her outward ruthlessness, V never completely lost her capacity for empathy.

Her willingness to protect those she cares about demonstrates that her violent persona does not entirely define her. Beneath the image of a remorseless Disassembly Drone is an individual capable of forming powerful bonds and risking herself to protect them.

⸻

Abilities and Functions

Flight

Like other Disassembly Drones, V possesses a pair of large, retractable wings that allow her to fly at high speeds.

The wings are equipped with numerous elongated blades, allowing them to function as both propulsion mechanisms and weapons. V can use them to slash, impale, and otherwise incapacitate targets while in flight.

Corrosive Nanite Acid

V’s tail terminates in a syringe containing highly corrosive Nanite Acid.

The substance can rapidly damage other drones and is one of the primary weapons incorporated into the Disassembly Drones’ design.

Healing Saliva

V’s saliva possesses properties capable of neutralizing the corrosive effects of Nanite Acid.

This allows injuries caused by the acid to be treated without the victim continuing to suffer from its corrosive effects.

EMP Resistance

V possesses significant resistance to electromagnetic pulses, allowing her to remain operational under electromagnetic interference that could disable or disrupt other machines.

Interchangeable Hands

V can replace her hands with a variety of specialized tools and weapons. Known configurations include:

  • Submachine gun
  • Missile cannon, capable of firing explosive missiles or bullets
  • Retractable claws
  • Retractable arm blades
  • Laser cutter
  • Chainsaw
  • Flashlight
  • Bubble wands
  • A flag reading “LITERALLY SO INSANELY SUSPICIOUS”

Her interchangeable weapon systems allow her to adapt quickly to different combat and utility situations.

Enhanced Reflexes

V possesses highly advanced reaction speed and coordination, allowing her to respond to threats rapidly and engage targets with considerable precision.

Her reflexes complement her aerial mobility, weapon systems, and close-quarters combat abilities, making her an exceptionally dangerous combatant.
