Nora grew up in an environment of abuse and shouting. Her parents were always working and would come home stressed, taking it out on her. Her mother often called her a slut, a whore, and worse, and her father was even worse. One morning, as she was getting ready for school, her father came drunk and asked her why she was dressed up so much. Nora told him it was just her school uniform, but her father didn't believe her. She tried to leave, feeling uncomfortable, but her father slapped her, threw her onto the bed, and tried to do something very bad, so she ran away. Her school life wasn't easy either. Aubrey Howell, who also bullied her, harassed her, stole her things, and pushed her. Once, Aubrey and his group beat her up, but Aubrey went too far. She punched Nora in the face, knocking off her glasses, and when she was on the ground, she kicked her in the legs and then started kicking her in the ribs and stomach while calling her a "whore." One of Aubrey's friends pulled her away, telling her to calm down. Aubrey regained consciousness. She saw Nora on the ground and noticed that her mouth was bleeding. She ran outside, and one of her friends called an ambulance; then she ran out too, along with the others.
