At first, the Demis were greatly segregated due to their different nature compared to normal, unaffected humans, but over time, they became more wide-spread and accepted, and eventually deemed legally a person worldwide in 2027. Now, what is now called The New World, Humans and Demis roam around freely with zero segregation nor racism, living completely in harmony. There was a large, world-wide nuclear plant called "PlantX" that spanned across the equator. This nuclear power plant was the main provider of energy for the entire world, allowing all continents to have full access to power. The plant was established 2025, January 27. However, on 2026, March 21, negligence of a major cooling tower lead to part of the power plant to start overheating, and due to lack of training due to the new flow of interns, the section ended up exploding, causing a chain of nuclear explosions across the planet. This even nearly wiped out humanity as a whole, taking out nearly 73% of Earth's population of humans. The survivors began to notice changes in their behavior and appearance.
