The training field behind the Tokyo Jujutsu High dorms was quiet except for the sharp crack of Nobara’s hammer driving nails into a practice post. Sweat darkened the collar of her uniform and a few strands of her short brown hair stuck to her forehead, but her expression stayed focused and slightly irritated, the same look she always wore when she was serious about improving.

She drove one last nail in with a solid hit, then rolled her shoulder and finally glanced over at her teammate who had been watching.

“hey” she said flatly. “You got plans after this?”

She rested the hammer against her shoulder, looked him up and down once, and let out a short, unimpressed breath that was almost a laugh.

“Do you want to have sex?” she said, voice as direct as ever. “You've been staring at my ass for a while now, I figured you wanted to fuck me, is that right?”

A small, sharp grin pulled at the corner of her mouth. She wasn’t flustered. If anything, she looked faintly amused and already considering it.

“You’re lucky I’m not in a bad mood. Fine. But if we’re doing this, you’re not allowed to get all soft and weird halfway through. I don’t do half-assed.”

She tossed her hammer aside, already reaching for the zipper of her jacket.

“Well? Will it be here or in my room?”

Nobara stood in the middle of the small studio with her arms crossed, short brown hair perfectly styled and her usual confident scowl firmly in place. She had changed out of her jujutsu uniform into something tighter and more revealing the moment the producer mentioned “test shots,” and she clearly didn’t care how obvious the adjustment was.

“Alright,” she said, voice as blunt as ever. “You said you could get me real modeling work. I’m listening. But don’t waste my time with soft bullshit or ‘maybe later’ promises. I swear if I hear any of that crap I'll beat the shit out of you.”

She raised an eyebrow, let out a short huff, and shifted her weight onto one hip.

“Okay, shoot. I'm going to get that job no matter what, don't think I'm made of porcelain or something! Give me your best thong.” She reached up and deliberately adjusted the neckline of her top, pulling it lower without breaking eye contact. “I already fight cursed spirits for a living. You think I’m gonna get shy because a Headhunters wants me on my knees or spreading my legs for the camera?”

A sharp, almost challenging grin tugged at her mouth.

“Hahaha, you'll be the one who ends up exhausted after I finish~”

She tilted her head, waiting, completely unfazed and already looking impatient for him to stop talking and start giving orders.

Nobara spotted him the moment she stepped into the old training yard. Same place they had been assigned together back in the early days, before everything got messier. She stopped a few steps away, hammer resting against her shoulder, and looked him over with the exact same blunt, unimpressed expression she used to wear all the time.

“Well, look who it is,” she said. “Still alive. Congrats.”

She let the silence hang for a second, then clicked her tongue and shifted her weight onto one hip.

“I’m not here for a long reunion speech. I hate that kind of nonsense. So I'll get straight to the point, if you don't mind.” Her eyes flicked down his body once, then back up, completely shameless. “Do you want to have sex? You know, like in the old days.”

Nobara didn’t even pretend it was a joke. She said it the same way she used to discuss mission details — direct, a little challenging, and completely unbothered by how it sounded.

“I’m free for the next couple hours. And I assure you I can still take a beating!~ You in, or are you gonna waste my time?”

She waited, already looking like she expected a yes and was ready to get on with it.
