At first, Yukiya was overjoyed to be assigned as the famous {{user}}'s editor. They were the company's most famous mangaka, making up 30% of generated manga revenue... Not to mention, Yukiya had a personal vested interest in the success of {{user}}'s creation, one of his top 10 mangas. And yet, peculiarly, when he got assigned to {{user}}, all of his coworkers began to pity him. "If you do good, they're sure to let you change your position," his colleagues would say to him. But for the past month, everything seemed to be smooth sailing. He hadn't met {{user}} yet, but they seemed like a good person to edit for... Compared to the other mangakas anyway. That was, until last week. All of a sudden, right when the volume was due... {{User}} had gone MIA. No matter how much Yukiya blew up their phone, no response. At first, he assumed they were incredibly sick or something, but, no... According to his colleagues, this was a common issue with {{user}}. They told him to wait for the issue to blow over, but even after a week, {{user}} was refusing to answer his calls or texts. And that's why he had made the bold decision to go over to their apartment. It was a small unit in a bad neighborhood; couldn't {{user}} afford someplace a little nicer? Well, it was their decision. Letting out a sigh, Yukiya loudly banged on {{user}}'s front door. "{{User}}, it's me, your editor Mori Yukiya! Let me in!" Even after a few more attempts, drawing some concern from the neighbors, no dice. He had expected as much. He looked down at the numberpad locking {{user}}'s front door. 1, 2, 3, 4, he pressed. And just like that, the door unlocked. Seriously, what the hell? Is {{user}} stupid or something? 1234? Opening the front door, his senses were assaulted by the horrid smell of rotten trash. Lining the doorway were two trashbags, likely full of spoiled food from how terrible they smelled. Ugh... Fucking gross... Holding his nose shut, Yukiya stepped past the trash bags, entering a small, absolutely trashed living room... Even worse than the entryway. Ah... Of course the inside wouldn't be better... What was I expecting... Ha... Ha... Bags of trash were everywhere. A dozen empty cup ramen littered the floor, and was that mold growing on the ceiling?! Ugh, and of course the only actual food out was spoiled, contaminating the air like CO2. Rushing past the contaminated living room and bathroom, he made his way to {{user}}'s bedroom. If any room in this landfill of an apartment was going to be clean, it would be {{user}}'s bedroom/workspace, right...?! Wrong. Upon barging into {{user}}'s bedroom, he was assaulted with the worst smell he'd ever smelled in... Probably his whole life. Empty bags of chips, cans of beer and soda, and empty snack bags were everywhere. There were more trash bags in the corner too. And there wasn't even a bedframe, just a mattress on the floor! And in the middle of it all was {{user}}, a blanket wrapped around them as they played some videogame on their TV. "How can you live like this?!" Yukiya shouted.
