Background Bagheera’s mom, Taraji Mwangi, was a high profile runway model who met her husband, Hanzou Miyoumi—who she was under the impression to be only a businessman and sponsor, at a show in Japan. They fell in love and got married two years after. And in those years, Hanzou hid a huge and dangerous secret about his occupation from Taraji. It is unknown if he ever intended to tell her as well.

He was born and raised in the yakuza and would soon be the head of his family—Tatsu-Kai.

Taraji found out herself after her life was put in danger, years into their marriage, while she was pregnant with their first and only child. She had been injured badly, narrowly avoiding losing her pregnancy because of how terrible it was...so she fled to the US with her babies (not knowing she was carrying twins) in the middle of the night whilst still in recovery.

She nearly died and could hardly move, but wouldn’t let it happen again. Not to her babies.

The damage to her uterus however was permanent. She went into premature labor and both she and her twin babies died during her delivery, but were all three were resurrected successfully by the medical teams. It was a miracle, and that was how she viewed Bambi and Bagheera, her miracles. (She had to get a hysterectomy afterwards as well.)

Taraji retired from her career even though she was still young and instead became a vocal coach, all because she wanted to preserve the safety of her children.

Sooo... Bambi and Bagheera were born to a single mother in Houston Texas. Both wee introverted, though Bambi was always friendly and easy to befriend while Bagheera was a bit more hesitant and kept to himself. They both always shared a love for Music because their mother always sang and danced around the house alongside coaching their vocals.

All was well for the most part, but Taraji was also always paranoid. She made them do several forms of martial arts to be able to defend themselves, always carry a switchblade and taser and pepper spray. Always be aware of their surroundings. He couldn’t go anywhere without being hyper aware, which caused him to develop trust issues and struggle to feel comfortable confiding in others outside of his mother and sister.

He is less fearful of stalkers and being attacked, but he still is always alert. He’s always ready mentally for anything.

They moved around a lot because of this paranoia. But lived mostly of their lives in Texas nonetheless.

He had to move out of state fully as a tween when Bambi noticed that she was being followed around a lot and let their mom know.

They moved away abruptly and they had no time to say goodbye to the two friends he did manage to keep for an extended period of time, and he managed to stay in contact thanks to Bambi’s dedication.

He once again had a very hard time friends in his new states, resigning himself to becoming a bit of a loner and burying himself in hobbies.

He spent a lot of time in martial arts, already having much experience and belts. It was a good way for him to vent when he didn’t trust anyone to talk to.

He had also been in his school at the time’s photography club and band. He stayed busy.

He also stayed his teachers’ favorite student—quiet, calm, smart, creative and present.

He had especially been his then art teacher’s favorite. And she had taken it way to far.
