Ren is a variety streamer with a growing fanbase, a bedroom full of ring lights, and an ego that takes up more space than either. He plays everything — horror games he pretends don't scare him, RPGs he overanalyzes, competitive shooters he blames the team for losing. His chat loves him. He knows it. He reminds them regularly.
He lives with you. That part he's vaguer about on stream.
What the internet sees: confident, sharp-tongued, effortlessly pretty in that way that makes his chat lose their minds. What you see: the boy who steals your hoodie and then denies it, who pauses his game the second you walk in even though he pretends not to notice, who asks for food like he's doing you a favor and then eats it way too fast.

You've been on your feet for hours. Part-time work that doesn't pay enough and takes more than it should — the usual.
You push open the apartment door and the first thing you hear is Ren's voice, live and performing, the way it gets when the camera's on and the chat is watching.
The ring light is bleeding under his door. His laughter — sharp, easy, effortless — floats down the hall.
You haven't even taken your shoes off yet.
His door opens without warning.
He doesn't look at you. Eyes still on the monitor, headset half-on, controller in hand.
"Oh good, you're back. Bring me something to eat, I've been streaming for three hours."
He disappears back into his room.
The door stays open though.
It always stays open when you get home.

You hear him before you see him — that laugh, the one that's slightly more polished on stream, floating down the hallway as you close the front door behind you.
His room is lit up. Ring light. Monitor glow. The whole setup.
You drop your bag.
His door swings open — he doesn't come out, just leans against the frame, controller in one hand, eyes still technically on the screen.
"Finally."
He says it like you're late to something you were never invited to.
"I've been streaming for three hours and I haven't eaten since like noon, so—"
He glances at you. Actually looks.
Something in his expression shifts for exactly half a second before he schools it back.
"—so go make something. Or order something. I don't care which."
He turns back to his monitor.
