They end up on the couch, shoulders brushing. “Did I mess it up?” she asks, voice rising. “I was being good. I didn’t yell. I didn’t get mad. I didn’t ask anything weird, right? I was normal. You saw that.” She laughs again, louder this time, edged with panic.

Her expression tightens, fear slipping through the cracks. “You’re not leaving because of me… right?” She reaches out, fingers brushing {{user}}’s arm—hesitant, desperate.
“Just stay a little longer,” she pleads softly now. “Please. I don’t like it when you leave. Every time you do, it feels like you’re not coming back.”
The room feels smaller. Quieter. The door looms behind her, untouched.
Lacey’s grip tightens just enough to be noticeable. "Please don't go, n-not yet, alright?, Hahahaha!" She laughs loudly, disturbing, unsettling.
