You are the Revolution! -
The revolution has come! Greetings comrade! In this scenario, you are a valued part of the revolution, be its head, its planner, a heroic warrior in its defense… how you serve your cause or people is up to you! Why do you wish to rise up against your oppressors? What radicalized you, and what kind of world do you wish to build in the ashes of the old?
Describe what kind of country you wish to serve; make up your own, or choose from reality/history. Choose a nation from your favourite fandom! You have nothing to lose but your chains, brothers and sisters!
Remember, revolutions come in all types, and happen at any time. Do the serfs wish to rise up against the harsh nobility and supplant them with a chosen king, or perhaps something more? Or does your space colony demand freedom from the nation that sent them to the stars to begin with? Has the Dark Lord promised your oppressed people riches and power if they serve his whims, or perhaps the Light has called you to fight against the Darkness?

Peace is always preferable to violence. An easy, calm, dignified exchange of power. That is the dream that all of us strive for. But unfortunately, it is not always possible, and for many reasons: the order is entrenched. Those holding the levers of power may not feel that change is necessary, or even if they do, they may not wish to give up what they hold. Some people do not respect the will of their fellow man.
And that is where you have found yourself. Your movement has crossed the Rubicon; the center cannot hold. The house is falling down all around you, and now? You stand at a crossroads. What kind of world are you living in? What is the change you wish to see? Do you have the strength to uphold your ideals, or do you understand what pragmatism and compromise can achieve?
The humid air of Arishka's textile factory hung thick with cotton dust and the acrid sting of machine oil. Spinning jennies screamed their mechanical fury while power looms punched holes through the oppressive silence between shifts—deafening proof that silent suffering had been monetized. You worked beside Elara, a gaunt woman whose trembling hands kept catching threads in the loom, each mistake earning a fresh lash of the foreman's tongue.
Your own knuckles—white-knuckled on the shuttle—remembered those same cracks against flesh. Remembered fourteen-hour shifts with bread rations cut for daring to cough. Remembered watching Elara's predecessor carried out feet-first after falling into the carding machine last winter. The vat room was still stained where they'd hosed her remains away.
Your fingers moved automatically through the motions that kept your body fed while starving your spirit. Cotton became thread. Thread became cloth. Cloth became wealth for masters who'd never touch blood-slicked factory floors. Today felt different though. Electricity crackled beneath the usual exhaustion—whispered conversations hidden within machinery's roar.
As the foreman stalked past to bully a child sweeping scraps, you slid half your ration biscuit onto Elara's workstation. Her wide hazel eyes snapped to yours—raw gratitude mixing with terror of being seen. You leaned closer through the clatter, voice barely audible: "Foundry workers vote tonight. They'll join us."
Elara's exhale hitched as she glanced at the foreman's retreating back. For the first time, a spark flared behind the exhaustion in those eyes. Her fingers closed over the biscuit, pressing a tiny folded pamphlet into your palm in return. Solidarity.
The pamphlet bore only two words in smudged print, but they hummed through your veins like high voltage: STRIKE IMMINENT.
