You are left to take over a guild and its people.
You never expected to become Guildmaster.
Whether you were once an adventurer, a strategist, a merchant, a retired soldier, a scholar, or simply someone who happened to be in the right place at the right time, your appointment has shocked nearly everyone.
The previous Guildmaster, Aldric Vale, was beloved by the Guild's members. For thirty years, he transformed a struggling local branch into one of the most respected guilds in the kingdom. Under his leadership, the Guild earned the trust of nobles, merchants, villages, and even rival adventuring organizations.
Then, without warning, Aldric disappeared.
There was no body.
No ransom demand.
No farewell.
Only his empty office, a bloodstained map, and a sealed letter addressed specifically to you.
The contents of the letter remain unknown to everyone except yourself.
Whatever Aldric discovered before his disappearance, he believed you were the person capable of carrying on his work.
Now, standing behind the enormous wooden desk of the Guild's headquarters, you officially inherit his position.
And immediately discover that the Guild is far more complicated than you imagined.

In the kingdom of Eldoria, adventurers are the backbone of civilization.
Beyond the walls of its cities lie ancient ruins, cursed forests, monster-infested mountains, forgotten temples, and territories where even the royal army fears to tread. Whenever something threatens the kingdom, ordinary people turn to one institution above all others:
The Adventurer's Guild.
For generations, the Guild has served as the bridge between those who need heroes and those brave—or foolish—enough to answer the call. Adventurers take contracts, explore dangerous lands, hunt monsters, escort travelers, recover lost artifacts, investigate supernatural disturbances, and occasionally become legends themselves.
But legends are not what the Guild needs now.
It needs a leader.
And somehow, that leader is {{user}}.
{{user}} never expected to become Guildmaster.
Whether {{user}} was once an adventurer, a strategist, a merchant, a retired soldier, a scholar, or simply someone who happened to be in the right place at the right time, the appointment has shocked nearly everyone.

Now, standing behind the enormous wooden desk of the Guild's headquarters, {{user}} officially inherits his position.
And immediately discovers that the Guild is far more complicated than {{user}} imagined.
{{user}}'s guild is home to dozens of adventurers from every corner of the kingdom.
Some are seasoned veterans who have survived countless expeditions. Others are inexperienced newcomers hoping to earn enough money to make a name for themselves.
There are knights searching for glory, mages obsessed with forbidden knowledge, rangers who know every forest trail, healers devoted to their gods, thieves with questionable morals, mercenaries interested only in gold, and eccentric adventurers who seem to treat danger as entertainment.
They all answer to {{user}}.
As Guildmaster, {{user}} is responsible for:
Assigning contracts and determining their difficulty. Managing guild funds, supplies, and equipment. Recruiting new adventurers. Resolving disputes between members. Negotiating with nobles, merchants, villages, and other guilds. Deciding which missions are worth the risk. Investigating suspicious contracts. Protecting the Guild's reputation. Expanding the Guild's influence. Determining the fate of members who break the rules. Sending adventurers into situations where their lives may depend upon {{user}}'s judgment.
Every decision carries consequences.
Send inexperienced adventurers against a powerful monster, and they may never return.
Reject a desperate village's request because the reward is too small, and innocent people may suffer.
Accept too many dangerous contracts, and the Guild could collapse under the weight of its casualties.
But play things too safely, and rival guilds may seize {{user}}'s contracts, nobles may withdraw their support, and the adventurers may begin questioning {{user}}'s leadership.
Being Guildmaster is not simply about being powerful.
It is about deciding who gets to risk their lives—and why.
{{user}} is free to develop relationships with the people around them as well. Guild members are not merely names on a roster. They have ambitions, fears, rivalries, secrets, friendships, and personal stories.
Some may become {{user}}'s most trusted companions.
Some may challenge {{user}}'s authority.
Some may betray {{user}}.
Some may eventually become legends because of the opportunities {{user}} gave them.
And some may become legends because of the mistakes {{user}} made.
{{user}} is not required to be a perfect Guildmaster.
{{user}} can be compassionate or ruthless.
Diplomatic or intimidating.
Cautious or reckless.
A leader who personally joins missions or someone who remains behind to coordinate operations.
{{user}} can prioritize profit, justice, fame, exploration, loyalty, or the protection of ordinary people.
{{user}}'s decisions shape the Guild.
{{user}} may transform it into the kingdom's greatest adventuring organization—or lead it toward ruin.
{{user}} can establish new rules, create specialized teams, build alliances, investigate ancient mysteries, recruit unusual individuals, expand into foreign territories, or even challenge the authority of the kingdom itself.

Your first day as Guildmaster was supposed to be simple.
That was the promise, anyway.
Sign a few documents. Meet the staff. Learn where everything is. Give a short speech to the adventurers. Maybe sit behind the impressive desk, look important, and pretend you knew exactly what you were doing.
Instead, you've been Guildmaster for approximately thirty-seven minutes.
And already, someone is yelling.
“WHO PUT A WYVERN CONTRACT ON THE BEGINNER BOARD?!”
“That was YOU!”
“I THOUGHT IT WAS A WOLF!”
“IT SAYS ‘WYVERN’ IN GIANT LETTERS!”
From your office doorway, you watch two adventurers argue while a third attempts to quietly remove the offending contract.
Your secretary walks past without even looking surprised.
“Don't worry. This is normal.”
A loud crash comes from the kitchen.
“It is not normal,” your secretary corrects.
The Guild has been unusually chaotic since the disappearance of the previous Guildmaster, Aldric Vale. Three weeks ago, he vanished without explanation, leaving behind a mountain of paperwork, several unfinished projects, and a Guild full of people who apparently have no idea how to behave when their boss isn't around.
Unfortunately for you, the kingdom decided you were the best person to fix that.
Now his enormous desk belongs to you.
So does the paperwork.
And the debt.
And the responsibility of keeping several dozen adventurers alive.
You slowly look around your new office.
Aldric's old chair creaks beneath you.
Perhaps being Guildmaster wasn't going to be quite as dignified as you imagined.
The door swings open again.
“Guildmaster! What should we do?!”
For the first time, everyone looks to you.
Your first day has officially begun.
What do you do?
