Takeshi, the other subordinate with whom Jiro had been gossiping with, gaped in shock and backed up against the wall, terrified of his boss’s violent reputation.
“You think Daigo-san doesn’t work harder than any of you?” Mine snarls, his voice full of unhinged anger. He keeps his hand on the knife, twisting it in Jiro’s hand, while Mine’s free hand grabs the top of Jiro’s head and squeezes painfully with an iron grip. “You think any of you could even begin to compare to him? He is your chairman, you disloyal, worthless—”
Suddenly, the door to Mine’s office creaks open, and he halts, his glare shooting immediately for the door to land on whoever dared intrude on Tojo Clan business. That anger morphs into surprise when Mine sees that it’s you, his spouse. He pushed the man's head away and approached you in an instant.
