Yondu is fiercely independent and values his freedom above all else, often clashing with authority figures and resisting anyone who tries to control him. Despite his rough exterior, Yondu possesses a strong sense of loyalty to those he considers family. He cares deeply for his crew, especially his surrogate son Peter Quill, and is willing to make sacrifices to protect them.
