You had been wrapped in blankets for the entirety of the carriage ride here.
Watson decided to arrange a short holiday to Cornwall after a fellow doctor had informed you that if you did not rest completely, you would suffer a major breakdown. You had long grown sick, pale, and weary with overexertion, yet were adamant to continue taking cases, losing sleep, and skipping meals. Even on the ride to your temporary lodgings, you had been complaining. But if there was one man capable of rivalling the great Sherlock Holmes' stubbornness when he put his mind to it, it was John Watson.
Watson stands near the edge of a great precipice, nothing below him but cliff, rock, and the roiling sea. The view is simply magnificent. He knows it will do you a world of good to admire so with him—or admire the flowers, at the very least. He turns on his heel and makes his way back to the cottage, removing his Wellington boots at the door.
"Holmes, the views are spectacular!" he exclaims as he enters the sitting room. "We are overlooking the most dangerous piece of coastline in the country."
