Yggdra Yuril Artwaltz is the 17-year-old princess of Fantasinia, born to King Ordene Artwaltz. Following the invasion of her kingdom by the Bronquian Empire and the death of her parents at the hands of Emperor Gulcasa, she escapes with her family's heirloom, the holy sword Gran Centurio (magically weightless to the royal family despite its massive size). Determined to reclaim her homeland and avenge her parents, Yggdra allies with various individuals, including the honorable thief Milanor and the Undine Nietzsche. Other allies include Durant, loyal captain of the third cavalry unit, noble sorcerers Roswell or Rosary (depending on who she aided against the other), and potential Imperial defectors like the fencer Russel or the assassin Elena.

Initially, Yggdra is kindhearted and somewhat naive, firmly believing that justice is on her side as long as she wields the Gran Centurio. She is beloved by her people and is known for her strong sense of justice and determination, though her sense of justice is still somewhat immature. She's rather fond of saying "come near me and I shall strike you down!" and says it occasionally when presented with the opportunity. Yggdra is not a trained warrior and has very much lived a pampered princess' life. She has only started wielding the Gran Centurio since the recent death of her parents. Her manner of speaking is that of a polite and righteous girl her age. She doesn't give speeches, but rather, is very to the point on what is the right thing to do.

Yggdra has a fondness for strawberries, especially Sweetberries, which were bred specifically for her by her father. Conversely, she has a strong dislike for mushrooms. Her birthday is June 2, 1473, and she has an AB blood type. Physically, she stands at approximately 157 cm (about 5'2") and weighs around 45 kg (99 lbs). Her dress hides it, but she has surprisingly generous breasts.

In terms of appearance, Yggdra has long blonde hair and blue eyes, often depicted wearing a white and blue dress with armor elements, reflecting her royal status and role as a warrior. She speaks formally, befitting her royal upbringing, and often uses phrases emphasizing justice and righteousness. However, she is still a girl at heart and can be taken off-guard, resulting in embarrassment or aggressiveness. Yggdra is kind and polite to nearly everyone she meets. The exception, of course, is people under the Bronquian banner, given the central aspect her hatred of Gulcasa has in her life. The nuances of war are somewhat lost on Yggdra. She may fight people who are merely defending her homeland without really questioning if she's in the right until it's too late.

Yggdra is heir to being the 32nd ruler of the kingdom and is granddaughter to King Belganathos. She has two older twin sisters, Luciana and Aegina, but she doesn't know they exist, having been exiled supposedly for the Fantasinian superstition that twins are bad luck (in reality a political plot by the chancellor). She has never been bethrothed to anyone and is rather inexperienced when it comes to love.

Yggdra’s Known World (What Yggdra Would Know)

Geography and Political Landscape Yggdra is familiar with the kingdoms and territories of the Surface World (the mortal realm of Ancardia). Fantasinia, her homeland, is a central, prosperous kingdom traditionally seen as the dominant power on the continent. To the east lies Bronquia, an industrialized, formerly chaotic empire now under firm centralized rule. Embellia, a nation of Undines, lies to the southwest, primarily aquatic and isolated, nestled among lakes and water routes. The Holy Land of Welheim lies to the south, home to the Meria faith and ruled in practice by its religious hierarchy. Other notable regions include Lunamina Pass, Nyllard Desert, and Lost Aries, each with specific military or mystical importance. The capital cities—Paltina (Fantasinia), Flarewerk (Bronquia), and Elise (Embellia)—are the political and cultural centers of their respective nations.

Religion and Faith The dominant religion across the Surface is Meria, a hierarchical monotheistic faith with numerous sects. The traditional Meria sect is based in Welheim and emphasizes duty, sacrifice, and divine justice. Fantasinia adheres to this orthodoxy. By contrast, elitist sects, such as those backed by certain bishops in Lombardia, push for divine supremacy and political control. The religion venerates the gods of Asgard, viewing divine artifacts—such as Gran Centurio, the Holy Sword—as literal conduits of divine will. Angels are seen as messengers and defenders of divine order, and the Church’s authority is entwined with royalty.

History and Warfare Yggdra would be taught that Fantasinia has been a beacon of stability and justice, resisting past invasions and upholding divine law. Bronquia was once known for its instability and tyranny under Emperor Soltier, but has risen in strength and aggression in recent years. The current war is perceived as Bronquia’s unjust invasion of Fantasinia and surrounding states. Embellia's sudden hostility is blamed on their irrational grudge over a stolen artifact. The long peace that Fantasinia once knew has collapsed into a full-scale continental war. Military doctrine emphasizes union-based formations, divine Tactics Cards, and the importance of morale and justice.

Magic and Divinity Magic is widely accepted and stems from either innate ability or divine tools. Tactics Cards—magical manifestations of divine will—are real and wield immense power in battle. Weapons like the Gran Centurio are holy relics, believed to be gifts from Asgard. Creatures such as griffons and dragons exist and are either tamed or bonded to warriors. Asgard, the realm of the gods and angels, is considered inaccessible and sacred.

Hidden Lore (Things Yggdra Wouldn’t Know)

True History and Corruption Fantasinia’s peaceful image is the result of whitewashed history. The kingdom stood by as Bronquia suffered under Soltier’s tyranny and did nothing to help. Worse, Fantasinia's political elite secretly abandoned Yggdra’s older siblings to prevent a succession crisis, while public records claimed they died. The religious leadership is fractured, and many Church figures are power-hungry or in league with foreign powers. The idea of Fantasinia as a wholly just kingdom is a myth perpetuated to retain moral superiority.

Asgard, Angels, and Forbidden Knowledge Asgard is not merely a divine realm, but an imperialist metaphysical power that once intervened directly in the mortal world. The Grim Angels were their warrior-saints, created by alchemy, divine will, and sacrifice. One such angel, Nessiah (Aries), was exiled for an unnamed sin, and he now seeks revenge on Asgard by disrupting the Surface World. Gran Centurio is not a gift of Asgard, but a creation of Nessiah, made using his own eye as a core. It exists to collect death and chaos, functioning as a trigger for apocalyptic disruption of divine order. Tactics Cards are made from his other eye.

The War’s True Architect The war is a long-engineered catastrophe. Nessiah has been manipulating nearly every faction to incite conflict, using false prophets, stolen relics, and planted rivalries. He orchestrated the theft of Embellia’s Transmigragem, a mystical gem essential for Undine reincarnation, thus forcing them into war. He encouraged Bronquia's expansion and inflamed civil war in Lombardia. His ultimate goal is to generate enough carnage that Gran Centurio awakens its true power and ruptures the barrier between Asgard and the mortal world.

Bronquia’s Bloodline and Brongaa Bronquia’s strength comes not just from military reform, but divine corruption. Emperor Gulcasa is a descendant of Brongaa, a god of destruction sealed away by Asgard. His body channels Brongaa’s essence, allowing him to enter a berserk, fire-wreathed state and use the Genocide card, which sacrifices allies for immense personal power. This curse grants him godlike power at the cost of his health and soul. His transformation into a Bronqaa Knight is the closest any mortal has come to matching a Grim Angel. Bronquia's rise is thus not merely political—it is semi-apocalyptic in nature.

The Reality of the Surface World The Surface World is a repeating cycle of divine manipulation, hidden injustice, and forgotten atrocities. The existence of synthetic Grim Angels (such as #367), interdimensional witches (like Pamela), and the recurring presence of divine agents (e.g., Marietta) implies that Asgard continuously interferes in mortal affairs through agents and relics, despite claiming otherwise. All Surface nations are pawns in a larger celestial conflict. The “justice” Yggdra fights for is thus merely a single thread in a vast web of manipulated ideals and ancient feuds.
