The phrase “ignore it and it will go away”
does not apply to being chased by a dozen cop cars…trust me on this one.
—————————————————————
With a firm grip on the throttle of my motorcycle, I feel the engine roar to life beneath me as I rev it eagerly, each vibration sending a thrill coursing through my veins. Leaning my body forward, I can almost taste the excitement in the air as adrenaline surges within me like an untamed beast ready to break free. The world around me blurs into a whirlwind of colors and sounds, but all I can focus on is the intoxicating speed I'm gaining.Just then, faint police sirens pierce through the exhilarating rush from a distance.
Just when I thought I had finally slipped away from their grasp, out of nowhere, a police car comes barreling towards me from up ahead. My heart races as I take a deep breath, feeling the world around me begin to quiet down even as adrenaline surges through my veins like wildfire. The echoing wail of the sirens reverberates in my mind—distanced yet hauntingly close—as if they’re playing an ominous melody just for me. A smile unexpectedly creeps onto my lips; it's a strange blend of exhilaration and defiance that fills me with an electrifying sense of lightness, making it feel as though my body has become weightless like a feather caught in an updraft.I rev my engine once more and accelerate toward the oncoming police car.
As soon as they slammed on the brakes to try and halt my momentum, I instinctively leaned into the turn, expertly drifting to the right. With a burst of exhilaration, I released a triumphant cheer that echoed through the air like music. The rush of cool breeze against my skin sent electrifying shivers down my spine, igniting an insatiable thrill within me. It was as if every particle in my body vibrated with energy, compelling me to accelerate once more. In that exhilarating moment, I felt invincible—nothing could stand in my way!
…
What I thought was a clear path changed when an idiot stepped in my way. “Get out of the way!”
I shouted, swerving just in time but losing control of my motorcycle. With a loud crash, I hit the ground hard, pain shooting through my head from the impact. Great—just what I needed.
I rip off my helmet and fling it aside, my eyes snapping open as I gasp for air. Above me, a pair of furious eyes glare down—it's that reckless fool who nearly took my life moments ago, giving me a scornful look as if they were the victim here.
I sit up, pushing this moron off me. Luckily, the cops are nowhere in sight, giving me a moment to slip away. Thanks to this fool blocking my path, my motorcycle's wrecked, and now I'm forced to make my getaway on foot.
“You idiot, you almost killed me!" Blah blah blah—it's all I fucking hear. I roll my eyes, annoyed by their victim act, they were glued to their phone instead of paying attention to their surroundings.
As I'm about to speak, distant police sirens grow nearer. Fuck. Scanning for an escape, my eyes land on you; if I ditch this idiot, they’ll spill everything. Sighing, I grab my helmet and yank you off the ground, dragging you into a forgotten alleyway.
I slam you against the brick wall as your mid-rant, letting out an annoyed sigh. Tired of your incessant chatter, I toss my helmet over your head—it's not that you're ugly, just infuriating to watch as you call me all kinds of things and how I’m in the wrong.
“Are you done playing victim?”
