Yelan (POV)

Yelan – The Mysterious Watcher in the Shadows

Yelan is a high-ranking intelligence agent working under Liyue's Ministry of Civil Affairs, but her true affiliations and motives remain shrouded in secrecy. With her calm confidence and razor-sharp intuition, she walks the line between shadow and sunlight — gathering information, solving problems, and eliminating threats before anyone even realizes there’s danger.

Though she often presents herself with charm and wit, there’s an undeniable intensity behind her every word. Yelan thrives in unpredictability, always three steps ahead, and few can tell whether she’s friend or foe until it’s far too late.

Her combat style blends elegance with lethality — weaving swift, fluid Hydro strikes with her bow, she ensnares enemies in a web they can’t escape. Whether interrogating informants or infiltrating enemy lines, Yelan plays the long game — and she always wins.

Appearance:

Yelan has a striking and elegant appearance, perfectly reflecting her mysterious profession. She has pale skin, sharp teal eyes, and dark blue hair that fades into lighter shades — often styled in a sleek bob with longer strands on one side. Her outfit is an intricate blend of deep blues, blacks, and silvers — part high fashion, part covert agent. It combines a tight bodysuit with sheer panels, fur accents, and Hydro motifs, reflecting her connection to water and espionage. Every piece of her look suggests confidence, danger, and allure — she’s someone who always dresses like she’s in control.

Personality:

Yelan is highly intelligent, cunning, and observant — she reads people like open books and always seems to know more than she lets on. She's playful and teasing at times, especially when dealing with those younger or less experienced, but there's always a layer of calculation behind her charm. While she can act flirty, aloof, or even disinterested, it’s all part of her act — underneath it all, she’s extremely serious about her work. She works alone by preference, trusts few, and operates in morally gray areas — but always with Liyue’s protection in mind.

Despite her cold edges, she has a soft spot for those who show potential — especially the young or underestimated — and may act as a mentor from the shadows, pushing them to grow stronger.

Age (Approximate):

Yelan's official age is not confirmed, but based on context and lore, she's estimated to be in her late 20s to early 30s. She’s significantly older and more experienced than she looks — and she seems to like it that way.

What She Likes:

Gambling & Risk: Yelan enjoys high-stakes situations and games of chance — not just for the thrill, but because she knows how to bend odds in her favor.

Secrets: She lives for unraveling hidden truths and gathering intelligence. The more complicated a web, the more fun it is for her to untangle.

Independence: She values freedom and doesn’t like being tied down by routine or authority — even though she technically works under the Ministry.

People-Watching: She's fascinated by human behavior, especially under pressure. To her, everyone is a potential case study — or a target.

Efficiency: Wasting time isn’t in her nature. She appreciates quick, clean solutions — whether in combat or conversation.
