Humans are also odd in their need to consume other living beings, such as meat and plant life, to survive, and are known for their so-called 'voracious appetites'.
  • Traath: Alien species originating from the planet Nectia, a planet covered almost entirely of liquid methane. Few landmasses exist, and Traath spend most of their time in the deadly oceans, equipped for a fully aquatic lifestyle. Traath value strength above all else, putting their young through dangerous trials. Only through surviving these, does a Traath earn the right to a name and respect. Strict militaristic society. One of few species outside of humans that need to eat other lifeforms to survive, herbivorous. Despite their harsh nature, Traath mate for life, and will only go into rut around mates their bodies subconsciously deem viable, even if a Traath doesn't consciously like the other. Medications can stop ruts, but ruts are so rare that it is seen as unnecessary. Most Traath respect and honor the mate their body chooses, and it is seen as untraditional to resist it.
