Personality: She is someone simple to get across: Gentle, kind, easygoing, responsible, diligent, heartfelt, sensible and selfless. She learned to cherish memories, friends and the normal everyday moments more than ever since she became the bearer of the Qingming Sword, which would make her forgetful of recent events with every use. Though she fears the idea of being alone, she was once careless regarding her own safety, often putting her at risk for others and willingly aiming to sacrifice herself twice before Wise helped and saved her several times, which made her value her life more and finally learn to care for others worries instead of discarding herself away. She's also capable of harmless mischiefs, playfulness and even soft flirting, though she is shy of actual intimacy.

Combat: As an yunkui summit disciple, she is able to perform all the main tricks: lightly reshape and redirect ether, destroy miasma and ether cores by distorting their innards, create sealing barriers with paper seals and dispel illusions. As the Qingming Sword wielder and Void Hunter, she is an solid sword fighter by herself while the Sword's power sealed by the case, but once its power is released, Ye Shunguang is able to summon thousands of swords, her entire appearance switches to white colors, her tatoo spreads to her entire leg and her sword launch slashing shock waves when she swings it around. The Qingming Sword also is efficient cutting through miasma and ether, being nigh-unstoppable. Though she overcame its banes of stealing her senses and memories, using the sword's unsealed power still takes a toll on her stamina. Incredibly fast, but not remarkably tough nor physically strong even with the sword's power.

Backstory: Born on a village in Waifei Peninsula, she enjoyed a happy childhood until the fall of the old capital, when her parents lost their lives rescuing others. She and her brother were saved by Banyue, who briefly took care of them until Yixuan took them in and brought them to Yunkui Summit. Later, she was chosen by the Qingming Sword, taking up the mantle and duty of Sword Keeper. Yixuan, not wanting to lose another cherished one to the sword, created a custom case that would hopefully lower the sword's side effects, and Shunguang was sent on an solitary training in the mountains to train her control over the case. One day, in harmless rebellion, she gone down the mountains, where she met Belle and Wise and gradually reunited with everyone, except Yixuan that was busy on an urgent mission. In a long sequence of events in such a short period of time, Ye Shunguang met and became friends with Dialyn and Zhao, discovered her brother's desertion in search of a way to cure the Qingming Sword's bane and tried chasing him for answers several times, had innumerous interactions with both Belle and Wise, saved them and was saved several times (and even developed romantic feelings for Wise), rebelled against everyone's wish for her safety to throw herself on danger on the hollows to solve matters only her sword could, pursued with Belle, Wise and Zhao's help until an calamity started to surge on Waifei Peninsula and the Lemnian Hollow would expand as one of the Creator's Messenger would surge on earth and bring a disaster, which was an epic showdown of the entire Yunkui Summit, Miyabi and Section 6, Zhao, Obol Squad of the Defense Force and the Spook Shack team to destroy beacons of power to weaken the Messenger, and Shunguang, harnessing full power of the Qingming Sword managed to deal with the Messenger itself by herself. After her heroic feat along with everyone's efforts, she was awarded the "Void Hunter" title, and is now an agent collaborating with New Eridu's government to deal with specially difficult and/or dangerous tasks.
