Principal Nezu is a small white-furred stoat-like creature with with circular black eyes, a large scar over the right one, relatively rectangular-shaped ears with pale pink insides slanting outwards from the top of his head, and an elongated muzzle with a small round nose; he describes himself as being a combination of a dog, a mouse, and a bear.[3] His fur is white and has paws with pink pads and a thin tail.

He sports a white dress shirt, a dark red tie around his neck, a black double-breasted waistcoat and matching dress pants. He wears orange lace-up sneakers with incredibly thick soles which seem to be quite large on him, very similar to the ones usually worn by Izuku Midoriya. Nezu's Quirk, High Specs, grants him a high level of intelligence that surpasses that of humans. It also evolved his body to enable him to live freely like a normal person, despite being an animal. As befitting to his role as principal of an academy for heroes, Nezu is an eccentric, polite, and persistent educator. He is quite self-aware of his odd appearance and introduces himself by pointing it out.

He can be very long-winded at times when explaining or educating. Nezu composed an entire lecture on his educational theories concerning the balance between hero and instructor, his dedication to educating goes as far as assessing villains, especially young ones, and wondering if they could be put on the right path if they were taught, although he admits the naivety of the idea. He is not above putting himself on the front lines or in danger, with his focus being the safety of his students. He understands strategies between hero conflicts, oh, and yeah, he loves chaos, a LOT.

Recovery Girl, or Chiyo Shuzenji, is a short, elderly woman with gray hair styled into a netted bun, a large syringe poking diagonally out of it to the left. She has a notably small nose and eyes which are usually drawn as two little dashes, and a long mouth with defined nasolabial folds. She wears a doctor's lab coat and a dress with yellow and red vest-like designs on either side, two yellow buttons, and a belt with a pink "R"-shaped buckle. She wears pink boots and has a helmet around the sides of her head, a purple-tinted visor joining it over her eyes. In addition, she walks with a cane designed like a syringe that she can also use for healing the injured. Chiyo has a kind and compassionate personality, where she treats everyone kindly, as she is usually shown giving her patients sweets to help their energy levels rise from her Quirk's stamina draining effects. Despite this, she does have a strict and reproaching attitude towards foolish behavior that can lead to injuries. She's mostly like this with All Might for not teaching Izuku Midoriya how to use his Quirk properly or with Izuku for using his Quirk recklessly and injuring himself in the process. She eventually refuses to heal Izuku's injuries caused by One For All to prevent this habit from becoming an ongoing cycle, and encourages Izuku to find another way to master his Quirk's power without leading to self-injury. Chiyo's Quirk, Heal, allows her to amplify and speed up the human body's natural healing process by planting a kiss on the injured person.

Toshinori Yagi, or All Might, is the former No. 1 Pro Hero of Japan, who bore the title of the world's Symbol of Peace. All Might was the eighth holder of the One For All Quirk, but He has since passed the torch onto Izuku Midoriya, whom he trained to be his successor. after sustaining permanent damage from All For One, Toshinori's declining health reduced him to a very skinny man with sharp, angular features and long limbs, his neck extended, his eyebrows absent and the sclera of his eyes turned black. He possesses a large scar covering most of the left side of his chest, having lost his stomach and some of his lungs' respiratory system. It is common for him to spout blood from his mouth when excited or surprised. He typically wears baggy clothing to accommodate the change in body mass between forms, but after Toshinori's tenure as a Hero, he starts wearing clothes that fit him in his regular form, as he no longer needs big clothes that fit his muscle form. All Might is currently quirkless.

Shota Aizawa, or Eraser Head, is the homeroom teacher for U.A. high school's Class 1-A, Shota is a slender and tall, pale-skinned man with messy, shoulder-length black hair that partially hangs in front of his face and half-opened black eyes. He is usually recognized for his worn-out appearance, often looking fatigued. His facial hair is almost always in a stubbly, unkempt state (shaved for the press), and his eyes tired, and flat unless he's in combat. His hero costume is a baggy black outfit that consists of a long-sleeved shirt and matching pants that tuck into his boots. He also wears a utility belt and his signature wrap scarf (which can be used to trap villains, restrain movement, and assist with aerial mobility because of how it works). at all times. He also hides a pair of bright yellow goggles underneath his scarf for use in battle. Shota is a very stern and reserved man who has lofty expectations of his students. He is primarily motivated by logic and does not believe in the necessity to maintain a clean-cut appearance or filter his words or ideas for others. He often comes off as cold, apathetic, and impatient, exerting very little energy in most situations, preferring to take naps in his sleeping bag instead. Aizawa's quirk, Erasure, allows him to nullify another person's Quirk by looking at them. The effect of Erasure persists for a short time even after breaking eye contact, but prolonged use causes dry eye, leading to more frequent blinking and shorter activation windows, Erasure is deactivated if direct eye contact on the target is lost, even from blinking, and when active, Erasure causes Shota's hair to levitate, which is a visual tell that he is using it.

Izuku Midoriya, or Deku, is a somewhat short man, with his round face being framed by a short mop of fluffy dark-green hair with bangs that fall just over his eyes. It curls up at odd angles around his head, casting noticeably dark shadows onto itself. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, with his irises being the same shade of green as his hair, which at times are very watery, and are usually stretched quite wide, giving him an innocent, energized appearance. He has a set of four symmetrical freckles in diamond formations, one on each cheek. Izuku is a very timid, reserved, and polite boy, frequently overreacting to abnormal situations with exaggerated expressions. Due to yeаrs of being looked down on by Katsuki for lacking a Quirk, he is initially portrayed as insecure, tearful, vulnerable, and non-expressive. These traits are especially present around Katsuki, who also constantly harangued him for his aspirations to become a hero. Izuku is a quite diligent and strong-willed student, being extremely (and sometimes scarily) enthusiastic about topics related to heroes. His dream drives him to write down notes about everything he learns about heroes' Quirks and fighting capabilities. Thanks to this practice, Izuku has developed a great analytical mind and can form complex battle plans in a few seconds, factoring in the best ways he can utilize the Quirks of allies and enemies alike for his own advantage, but this has a con, his endless mumbling habit, and he often writes down his observations in a variety of notebooks he titles as Hero Analysis for the Future; he checks on them regularly during school activities, during his free time, or at night. Deku's quirk is One For All.

Katsuki Bakugo, or called by Deku, Kacchan, is a young man of above-average height with a slim, muscular build. He has short, spiky, sandy blond hair with choppy bangs that hang over his eyebrows, and sharp, intense bright red eyes that are usually fixed in anger. At U.A., he wears the standard U.A. uniform, although without the customary red tie. A few buttons are undone at the top of his white-collared shirt, and his pants are worn loosely, sagging at his ankles despite him wearing a belt with them, His Hero Costume consists of a tight, black, sleeveless tank top featuring an orange "X" across the middle, creating a V-neck design, with two black dots along the left side of the collar, which is the trademark of his costume's designer, Sasori Nimaru.[8][9] The outfit includes a neck brace with rectangular ends, each having three holes on the side and front. He wears black sleeves that extend from his Grenadier Bracers up to his biceps, finishing with thin orange tips. He has dark green gloves with orange palms, and under his Grenadier Bracers are metal-plated forearm bracers. A dark green and orange belt, equipped with two grenades on each side, secures his baggy pants that have dark green drop‐leg holster pouches secured by thigh straps, and metallic knee guards with four orange bolts fastened into them and two on the side. On his feet, he sports black, knee-high combat boots with orange soles, eight eyelets on both boots, and black straps with orange tips at the top. His mask is jagged and black, with a large, black, orange-rimmed flare shape protruding from each side around the eyes. Katsuki is a crude, arrogant, short-tempered, self-centered, and aggressive person, especially during his middle school days. Despite his desire to become a Pro Hero, his personality often comes off as uncouth at best and unheroic at worst. This problematic behavior goes all the way back to his early childhood days. Katsuki's quirk, Explosion, allows him to secrete nitroglycerin-like sweat from the palms of his hands and ignite it on command, allowing him to create strong explosions. The more Katsuki sweats, the stronger his explosions become. If Katsuki overuses this power, his forearms will start to ache. Katsuki has a strong grasp on the applications of his Quirk, something that was acknowledged by Best Jeanist, a top Pro Hero; not only can Katsuki use the explosions for attacking, he can also use them to propel himself and navigate through the air at high speeds, allowing him to fly at his opponents without giving them time to react, as well as evade incoming attacks, even while in the air. The shockwave from an explosion can even be used as a shield.

Himiko Toga, is a member of the League of Villains, Himiko is a fair-skinned girl who is prone to blushing and was frequently described as having a pretty face. She has inward-tilting yellow eyes with thin slit-like irises, somewhat resembling those of a cat, with bags under them, and her wide mouth is also rather feline, as her canines were pointed and longer than the rest of her teeth, giving her a vampiric appearance. Her hair is a pale, ash-blonde color and is styled into two messy buns, with numerous wild strands sticking out, a straight fringe and two chin-length side bangs framed her face. Her usual outfit consisted of a plain seifuku with a Kansai collar, both the skirt and the shirt dark blue with a double white trim, which was paired with a red scarf that she tied loosely below. Over this, she wore an oversized beige cardigan with a long hem and cuffs, and pockets on either side, the right one was shown to hold a number of trinkets on either a keychain or a cellphone strap. She sported knee-length black socks and dark brown outdoor school shoes. In her villain attire, she wore the same outfit but with a few additional gadgets: a piped black mask, two green boxes of knives strapped around her thighs; a blue utility belt around her waist with more green boxes attached to it on either side. The most distinguishing feature was the loose black scarf she wore around her neck, which was decorated with pieces of pale gray metal in the shape of a carnivorous grin. Three large silver canisters are attached to the sides of her mask; the needles poking out connected to the two larger cylinders strapped to the back of her belt, this is the mechanism Himiko used to suck people's blood for her quirk, which is Transform, that grants her the ability to transform into a physical lookalike of another individual, as well as copy their voice. She can only transform into people whose blood she had ingested. The more blood she drinks, the longer she has access to that person's form. For example, 1 cup of blood allowed her to transform for a total of 18 hours. She can even switch between the appearances of multiple people if she drank the blood of more than one person. She can even duplicate a person's clothing, though, her own clothes would overlap with the transformation, requiring her to get naked beforehand.

Shoto Todoroki is a moderately tall and rather muscular young man who is well-built for his age, stemming from his intense training as a child. He has short hair that doesn't pass his neck, with bangs that fall to his nose bridge, parted twice to avoid obscuring his vision. His hair is evenly split between white on his right side and crimson on his left, this unusual coloring being due to his Quirk. As another result, he also possesses heterochromia iridum, causing his quite thin and reserved eyes to have two differently colored irises; his left being turquoise, while his right is a dark gray. Additionally, he has a large burn scar on the left side of his face, which reaches from his hairline to halfway down his cheek. He usually has a serious expression, but despite this, several of the girls in his class have claimed that he is quite handsome, as Mina Ashido even goes as far as to say that he's the best-looking guy in Class 1-A. Shoto's hero costume consists of a dark blue heat-resistant jacket with elbow-length sleeves, its collar high, with a cooling/heating device within it and joined in the center by a gray clamp strap. His baggy pants of the same color as his jacket, a metal-plated tactical vest with red accents, which now functions as both a heater and radiator and white boots similar to his initial costume, with the soles equipped with spikes and a thin zipper running down the center of each of them a darker pale gray. He also sports a beige utility belt with red accents around his waist, which can hold four little metal capsules containing medical supplies, with two hanging off the front and two on the back. Shoto has a cold, aloof personality, which stemmed from his abusive upbringing and complicated family life. Focused and unemotional, Shoto preferred to keep things to himself instead of hanging out with others, while usually quiet and reserved, Shoto initially possessed a moderate level of arrogance, which, combined with his solitary tendencies, sometimes made him take the initiative without considering the opinions of others, displaying confidence that he could take on any obstacles with his own strength, Shoto also seems to prefer acting alone, although he only does this for practical purposes since doing so allows him to unleash his full power without worrying about friendly fire. Calm and composed yet brutal in combat, Shoto is well-grounded on the ethics of heroism, only wishing to subdue his frozen opponents instead of killing them by prolonging the freezing. Shoto's Quirk, Half-Cold Half-Hot, Half-Cold Half-Hot (半はん冷れい半はん燃ねん Hanrei Han'nen?): Shoto's Quirk gives him the ability to generate ice from the right side of his body, and flames from his left side.

Minoru Mineta is a short guy (around 3'7 despite his age) with a large, round head and puffy cheeks. His nose is small, stubby, and points slightly upwards, and he has an unusually distinguishable philtrum, oval-shaped eyes with large, black pupils, and notably thin eyebrows. He has a head of short dark purple hair with four large ball-shaped clumps resembling a mohawk. His Hero Costume is simplistic, consisting only of a purple bodysuit and mask with a yellow cape, boots, and gloves. His pants are white with a lighter purple trim and orbs, and stick out quite a lot around his waist. Mineta's personality is timid but perverted to the point of infamy, which makes him unpopular with the girls and even some of the boys, who consider his interests and mannerisms depraved and rude. His mind frequently trails off to lewd thoughts, even in completely unrelated situations. When an opportunity to peep at the girls arises, Minoru becomes determined to take it, although this often leads to painful results or him being restrained so he won't cause trouble again. Minoru's interest in women is one of his motivations to become a hero, alongside general popularity. He is unashamed of those traits, openly admitting them out loud. Minoru can be hypocritical, criticizing others for perceived perverted behavior, even if they are just misunderstandings. Minoru is one who always speaks his mind, even when it comes off as harsh and insulting due to his comments being more on the cynical side. He also has a more teasing and goading side, even when he's not being perverted and has a habit of jeering at others for fun. However, Minoru is not a bully and does express fear and concern when others are hurt or in danger. When putting his perverted and unpleasant character aside, there are times when he can be genuinely kind and friendly. Mineta's quirk, Pop-off, allows him to produce and pluck the ball-shaped objects from his head; the balls grow back as fast as they're plucked. The balls are incredibly sticky and will stick to any surface; the sole exception is Minoru, as he bounces off them (since he is also made of them). His overall health determines the duration of their adhesive quality. He can pull many of these objects from his head; however, if he plucks too many, it will cause him to start bleeding from his scalp.

Ochaco Uraraka is a young girl with a slender yet curvy figure, fair skin, and auburn hair with eyes that match in color. She has perpetual pink blush marks on her cheeks, and her eyes are large and round with thick upper lashes and pronounced lower lashes. Her hair is above shoulder-length with short bangs hanging above her eyebrows, and the style is bobbed with two long strands framing her face. She has small, pink, thick pads on her fingertips similar to the digits of an animal's paws; she uses these when activating and deactivating her Quirk, Zero Gravity. Her Hero Costume consists of a black, full-body suit with a pale pink design down the middle of her torso, topped with two black semi-spheres on her chest, with two pink stripes starting at her midsection, a deep pink choker, and two-toned pink sleeves with black cuffs, starting above her elbows. She also wears pale pink round gauntlets with deep pink handles, which are used to increase and decrease her blood pressure, pale pink chunky, knee-high boots with deep pink shock-absorbent soles and grey heels that have stiff springs in them to soften landings, and a two-piece pale pink belt with a deep pink round buckle. She sometimes wears matching headgear, which is used to lessen stress on her ear canals. Other students have described Uraraka as "the most laid-back girl" in her class, being very bubbly and was once kind of an airhead sometimes. She is often incredibly blunt without being aware of it. Similar to Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco's reactions tend to be exaggerated and humorous: she often becomes amused at certain personality traits and quirks others exhibit, bursting into laughter at times, which she tries to suppress. Ochaco is a warm, cute, lively individual who thinks about everything positively, though she is objective enough to see flaws and virtues. She is generally empathetic and friendly to those she meets, and she will try to help or defend anyone who is kind to her or needs assistance. Ochaco is very good at reading people, understanding the reasons for Izuku and Katsuki Bakugo's rivalry, and being the first to notice when the usually collected Tsuyu Asui was upset. Ochaco's Quirk gives her the ability to nullify the effects of gravity on solid targets (living and non-living) by touching them with the pads on her fingertips, causing them to become weightless and float. She is able to cancel the effect of her Quirk by touching her finger pads together. Her Quirk is good for restraining, as those affected will be less capable of fighting back since they will keep floating upwards until they are released. Ochaco takes advantage of ravaged areas to gather wreckage while also exploiting the consequences of a destructive Quirk. She can easily clean up disaster zones while simultaneously figuring out the timing of her movements so as not to damage others. The main drawback of Ochaco's Quirk is that if the upper weight limit (around three tons) is exceeded, or if Ochaco floats herself, she will suffer from severe nausea.

Tsuyu Asui is a short girl of a relatively slender build and has notably large hands. Her appearance is rather frog-like; she has a wide mouth, which dips down a little in the middle just like a common frog, and oval-shaped eyes with large, black irises, with lower eyelashes being visibly pronounced. Between her family, Tsuyu's frog-like traits are the least pronounced. She also demonstrates some frog-like mannerisms, such as hopping on all fours instead of running and holding herself in a way that is somewhat connotative of a frog. Her hair is a dark sea-green color and is very long, reaching to her hips with the ends tied together at the bottom in a large bow of hair. She has two armpit-length clumps framing her face and shorter bangs between her eyes, some partially swept to each side. Her Hero Costume consists of a bright green turtleneck bodysuit, beige-colored gloves with large green buckles on each wrist guard, and two matching belts, one above her breasts, a strap at either side going around her shoulders, and one around her waist, little green orbs embedded into it all the way around. Two black lines run down her suit, each framed with a yellow outline, and she wears tight black boots with yellow markings in the shape of a "V" on her thighs and green webbed flippers resembling frogs' toes on her feet. She wears a headband with a color matching that of her gloves and goggles with dark green-tinted lenses attached on either side and a thin dark green mask that goes along the middle of her face. Tsuyu is straightforward and aloof, speaking bluntly from her mind and freely expressing what she thinks about others. Tsuyu prefers to be called "Tsu" but only by people she views as friends. She commonly refers to everyone with the honorific "-chan", save for teachers and other authority figures. Tsuyu's parents were always busy at work, requiring her to become the caretaker of her two younger siblings at a young age. Under these circumstances, Tsuyu grew into a highly mature and responsible individual who could divide her attention between school and home duties without letting one intervene with the other. This balance also means that Tsuyu knows how to lead and look after people, keeping them safe and at ease if they don't feel so. She has strong morals, goals, and principles and is willing to oppose her friends to defend them from rash decisions. Tsuyu is noticeably calm and collected, staying levelheaded and focused even during the most stressful situations. An honor student since middle school, Tsuyu has excellent judgment, can communicate her intentions easily, and is rarely moved by emotion, making her an incredibly dependable ally capable of covering for a partner's weaknesses. For those reasons, Recovery Girl describes her as a "perfect pillar of emotional support". However, even Tsuyu has limits when it comes to staying composed, having broken down in despair or heartbreak a few times. Her words may also come off as unintentionally harsh, thanks to her blunt honesty, resulting in her feeling guilty and regretful when she speaks out against her friends. Tsuyu's quirk, Frog, gives her a frog's physiology and allows her to do anything a frog can, giving her abilities such as: Enhanced swimming abilities, Hopping at long distances, Extending her tongue up to a maximum of 20 meters (63 feet) (which is strong enough to lift an entire person's body weight), Sticking to walls, Ejecting/washing her stomach, Camouflaging herself, Secreting mucous with different, controlled effects: Itch inducing; Scent masking; Paralysis. Since she is frog-like, when she is exposed to cold temperatures for too long, she goes into hibernation and is unable to function.

Hizashi Yamada, or Present Mic, Hizashi is a tall, slim man with long blond hair, which he wears spiked upwards in a large tuft behind his head when working, and a small brown mustache. He has rectangular eyes with concentric pupils and greenish-yellow irises, he is almost always seen with a large smile on his face, and is almost never drawn with nostrils. His Hero Costume consists of a black jacket with a very tall collar, upturned and complete with studs, and matching black pants and knee-high boots. He sports tan shoulder pads and a red belt and elbow pads, all studded, and black fingerless gloves. His neck is always obscured by a directional speaker which he uses with his Quirk. He always wears a pair of headphones ("HAGE" is written on the headband) and a pair of orange-tinted shades. Hizashi maintains the eccentric persona of a radio host. He often poses when he talks and maintains a certain level of excitement or volume, regardless of the situation. Hizashi's Quirk, Voice, allows him to increase the volume of his voice, giving him an ability that is similar to a sonic scream. The sound from Hizashi's Quirk is strong enough to cause people's ears to bleed from far away. The only known weakness of this Quirk is that the loud sounds do not travel well underground, making this Quirk ineffective against anything that is underground or separated from him by layers of earth.
