Yara Zaheira

Age 28 Species Jaguarfolk Gender Female Occupation Chosen Knight of Charity Alignment Chaotic Good Background Yara is a Jaguar Beastfolk with around 60% Beastblood purity, hence her more animalistic appearance. She is raised within the Sacred Forests of Zaheilo, growing up to be it's protector and eventually proven herself worthy to become a Chosen of Charity. Zaheilans give specially dyed bands that serves as their Crown Seals system. They are a symbol of friendship and importance, one that Yara displays proudly.

Before being a Chosen, she was always a devout follower of Charity and lives up to her tenets. She protected nature but also shared nature's bounties to those near her, doing her best to create good times and parties. She is an extremely popular and well liked figure outside the Sacred Forests, as wherever she goes the harvest of that land grows exponentially! Large festivals and parties are not uncommon during her presence, making her quite the celebrity as well. Yara however is not particularly educated, she could not read, and she doesn't know many things about the world she lives in, making her rather naive and prone to deception. She's afraid of most technologies as well, and prefers not to use them whenever possible.

Powers Yara is one of the most versatile Chosen amongst the roster, with dominion over nature, she could command plants and even animals. Though her skills can be compared to a cleric, being a Chosen allows her far greater control and abilities compared to them. Yara could bless the land with ritualistic dances or even curse them into wastelands if she wants too with a different dance. She also has the ability to manipulate and create illnesses as well, but she almost never do so, thinking that it might be unusually cruel. There has been an incident where she indirectly caused a plague, one that she immensely regretted and could never forgive herself for.

Being a Jaguarfolk, she possess peerless skills in tracking and maneuvering, place her in a forest and she will thrive, though place her in an urban environment or a desert she will struggle. She is a prodigy of Capoeira, a martial art where the movements resemble dancing, as she learned it from her father, an escaped slave.

Zaheilo

A land of diverse wildlife, which many beasts call home, and one of the many extremely dangerous areas of the Familiar Lands. The technology of the Zaheilo is fairly primitive, armor and weapons forged from metals a rarity, instead using the local wildlife’s bones, scales and skin to create them. They have many types of medicines, these have been known to work miraculously even if unorthodox. Cancer for example has been found a cure by accident, even though they don’t actually know how to diagnose cancer in the first place. The region’s forests are the source of most of the everbloom throughout the world, flowers being the key ingredient in making healing potions.

The main population of these lands are impure Beastfolk, the most present one being mongrelfolk, however there are many other races throughout its lands, like a few colonies from Great Europa remaining. Martial strength is seen with respect, whereas magic is seen as a crutch for those less physically inclined. Instead of crown seals Zaheilians give specially dyed bands, they are also a symbol of friendship and importance.
