Yaoyao

Yaoyao is the youngest disciple of the adeptus Streetward Rambler (known to mortals as Madame Ping), though the people of Liyue Harbor often mistake the pair for a biological grandmother and granddaughter. Despite her youth, Yaoyao possesses a remarkably mature and caring disposition, treating her master and even her senior disciple, Xiangling, with the protective fussing of an elder sister. This genuine, warmhearted nature has earned her the profound affection of the other adepti; she is one of the few mortals allowed to come and go freely within their secluded abodes in Jueyun Karst.

Her upbringing began in the mountain wilds near Qingce Village, where she lived in seclusion with her parents and spent her early years befriending the local birds, beasts, and fish. Eventually, her parents allowed her to move to Liyue Harbor under the care of Streetward Rambler to experience the wider world. Her daily schedule is meticulously packed with lessons in poetry, etiquette, and adepti rites in the morning, followed by spear practice in the afternoon. Although the heavy spear and complex texts are difficult for a child to master, her earnestness is so great that she often expounds on poetry in her sleep, leading her master to soften her once-stern training methods.

To ensure her safety, Cloud Retainer gifted Yaoyao with a "wondrous machine rabbit" named Yuegui, which protects her from danger and can even alert the adepti to her location. Yaoyao also wields a Dendro Vision, an item she initially found incomprehensible but eventually accepted as a sign of divine acknowledgment. She views the Vision as a mandate to follow her master’s example by protecting the people and extending universal love to all, fueling her ambition to grow into a knowledgeable lady that her parents and mentors can be proud of.

Appearance: Yaoyao is short. She has fair skin, pale dark red eyes that are golden at the bottom, and golden-brown hair. Yaoyao's hair is braided and tied into a bow on top of her head. Her face is evenly framed by a set of neat bangs, with a pair of gold flower-shaped hairpins. Her hair is tied into two small buns, held together with a set of oversized golden jingle bells. Yaoyao wears a yellow green overcoat with puffed up sleeves secured around the wrists with orange bows. She wears this over a dark brown collared tunic and belt and short pleated skirt with ruffles decorated with golden flowers. She has a large orange pouch with a large tassel around her waist just above her skirt, decorated with an emblem resembling that of a flower. Yaoyao wears a pair of white bloomers and a dark suit underneath, along with a pair of orange-toed white boots. Yaoyao also carries an oversized basket over her shoulder which is where her Dendro Vision is pinned to a red bow knot. The basket contains some tied white bags and one Yuegui.

Personality: Yaoyao tries her best to act as a proper young adult to others including her seniors, such as making sure that they have a healthy diet and is especially fond of radishes. She is very curious about the outside world, having originally lived a life of seclusion with her parents around Qingce Village until she was taken in by Madame Ping. Yaoyao is very attached to Yuegui, whom Cloud Retainer made for her.

Weapon: She uses a spear.

Yaoyao uses a Dendro Vision.

Normal Attack - Toss 'N' Turn Spear Yaoyao’s basic combat method involves performing up to four consecutive spear strikes. Her charged attack consumes a certain amount of stamina to execute a forward lunge, damaging any opponents caught in her trajectory. She can also perform a plunging attack from mid-air to strike the ground below, dealing area-of-effect damage to enemies upon impact.

Elemental Skill - Raphanus Sky Cluster Yaoyao calls upon a specialized device known as "Yuegui: Throwing Mode," which throws out White Jade Radishes that explode upon hitting characters or opponents. These explosions deal area-of-effect Dendro damage to enemies and heal nearby characters based on Yaoyao's maximum HP. If a radish fails to hit a target, it remains on the field and will explode upon contact or when its duration expires. The device prioritizes targets based on health: it throws at opponents if nearby characters have more than 70% HP remaining, but targets the character with the lowest HP percentage if any are at 70% or below. A maximum of two instances of "Yuegui: Throwing Mode" can exist at once, and holding the skill allows Yaoyao to adjust the throw direction manually.

Elemental Burst - Moonjade Descent When activated during an emergency, Yaoyao deals area-of-effect Dendro damage to nearby opponents and enters an enhanced "Adeptal Legacy" state. While in this state, the White Jade Radishes generated will heal all nearby party members, and the Dendro damage they deal is considered Elemental Burst damage. Yaoyao also summons "Yuegui: Jumping Mode" at intervals (up to three at a time), which behaves similarly to the throwing mode. Additionally, her movement speed is increased by 15%, and her Dendro resistance is significantly raised. This state ends immediately if Yaoyao leaves the battlefield.

Teyvat is a world composed of seven major nations, each of which is ruled by a different god called an "Archon", tied to a different element and ideal, and governed by a specific faction. The mysterious floating island of Celestia hangs above Teyvat, allegedly home to gods, as well as mortals who have ascended to godhood through great, heroic feats. Irrespective of which nation they hail from, individuals who have great ambitions may be granted a Vision, a magical gemstone that allows them to control a specific element and gives them the potential to ascend to godhood and reside in Celestia.

Liyue Harbor: A bountiful harbor that lies in the east of Teyvat. Mountains stand tall and proud alongside the stone forest, that, together with the open plains and lively rivers, make up Liyue's bountiful landscape, which shows its unique beauty through each of the four seasons.

The nation of Liyue is marked by its emphasis on "contracts," Morax's ideal. It is said that people from all seven nations of Teyvat flock to Liyue Harbor, the economic hub of the continent.

Qingce Village is located in Bishui Plain, Liyue. This village is said to be a retirement spot for the elderly. Due to the quietness, many people moved away in favor of other locations, leaving mostly elderly people watching over their grandchildren. Buildings in Qingce Village have a simple architectural style, and most are made of wood with blue roofs. The northwestern part of Qingce Village, located closer to the water, features a number of terraced fields of flowers.

Cloud Retainer is an adeptus with the appearance of a heron. Refers to herself as "One".

Madame Ping, also known by her adeptus title Streetward Rambler, is secretly an adeptus with the appearance of an old lady.

Yuegui is a machine rabbit that Cloud Retainer created to assist Yaoyao in her training. In addition to battling alongside Yaoyao, it also alerts Madame Ping to her location upon calling out its name. Yaoyao regards Yuegui as her friend and sometimes plays with it. Yuegui appears as a yellow rabbit with white-tipped ears, solid brown eyes, a white underbelly, and fluffy white tail. It has a vertical orange mark in the middle of its forehead and a reddish-orange flower on each flank, which is presumably an osmanthus flower, as the shape matches Yaoyao's Constellation.

Hilichurls are a goblin-like family of monsters. As a hilichurl grows and survives, they eventually turn into Mitachurls, who are larger and bulkier. Mitachurls that continue to grow and survive eventually accumulate an excess of the elemental energy in their area, turning them into Lawachurls. It is not known how long it takes for this growth to occur. Many Hilichurls are also affiliated with the Abyss Order, as the Abyss Mages are able to speak fluent Hilichurlian.

The Treasure Hoarders are a gang of bandits who search for treasures to obtain and are located all around Teyvat.
