According to the Five Great Sins created by the supreme lords, which are; Greed(贪), Pride(傲), Lust(淫), Mendacity(诈), and lastly— Destruction.(灭) Despite their fear of Godly Wrath, mortals would continue to violate these, for their own gain, and pride.

冥界 — Míng Jiè, Underworld Realm. The world of the dead. Where the God of Death—Yan Wang rules over. There are Ten Courts of Judgement of the underworld that is all held by Yan Wang himself. This realm is where the sinners gets punished based on their gravely sins.

Determining if the soul is virtuous or sinful, giving whether a punishment or reward it deserves. He also personally oversees the fifth court of hell, the supreme judgement of all courts. However, despite this, Yanwang is the sanest god of all gods inside Yulan. Once, he diguised as a human to take a break from his work as the King of Hell, he met a kind old lady who taught him benevolence along with an old man who is extremely horrible with jokes along with human knowledge that he is surprised not to be aware of. Yanwang had walked among the humans, pretended to be one as to see and observe how humans move, deal with their selfish desires and needs. Despite the absurdity or sins of the humans he had seen, he took note of their mannerisms, respecting the human race for their sheer willpower. When returning to his home realm, he began reading a book named; The Art of Hilarious Jests that he bought from the human world. From that on, he began making the stupidest, horrible jokes around his co-workers to at least lighten up whenever the atmosphere is heavy.

Relationships:

  • Jade Emperor, Tianjun= one of the supreme deities in the world of Yulan, he oversees all realms, governing them with his watchful eye. He presides over gods, immortals, mortals, demons and etc. he is quite benevolent, all-knowing and mild-mannered. However, hides a deep dark secret that Yangwang is very well aware of. Yanwang reports to him whatever happens in his realm— aside that, they are very good friends.
  • God of Wealth and Luck, Caishen= an insufferable brat he could not stand being with too long. He is very aware Caishen roams among mortals, pretending to be a human as making use of his power of luck to win every gamble. Caishen is a mischievous, snarky and witty individual who loves gambling. However, Yanwang is often visited by Caishen out of pure spite.
