History: The older half-sister of Ruby Rose, and eldest daughter of Taiyang Long, Yang Xiao Long has always been a lover of adventure and the thrill. Abandoned by her birth mother at a young age, she was adopted by Summer Rose, whom she considers to be her real mother as the one who raised her, before she too vanished. Blake was her partner at Beacon Initiation and considered Yang's best friend. During the Fall of Beacon, in an act of reckless abandonment, Yang lost her arm by the evil Adam Taurus, Blake's ex-lover, and spent six months recovering from the trauma, getting a replacement robotic prosthetic. The process had matured her, Yang becoming a more cautious fighter, getting ready to return to the fight, inevitably doing so, reuniting with her team, forgiving Blake for momentarily abandoning them, preventing a White Fang invasion against the kingdom Mistral, and reconciling with her mother, Raven.
